Megan Moroney Tells Brad Paisley How Much He Has Inspired Her Music Over The Years, & Fans Hope There’s A Duet Coming

The duo we need. Several weeks ago now, Megan Moroney and Brad Paisley teamed up for a beautiful duet of his hit “She’s Everything” during Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas event in Nashville, Tennessee. Of course, Brad Paisley co-wrote “She’s Everything” with Wil Nance, and it was included as the fourth single from his 2006 album, Time Well Wasted. Of course, it peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, becoming Paisley’s seventh number one single. It was a full-circle moment for Moroney, who has talked many times about how much Brad’s music influenced her too, and she’s said before that Mud On The Tires is her “favorite album of all time”: no one asked but mud on the tires is my favorite album of all time — Megan Moroney (@_megmoroney) January 22, 2025 But fans think that live duet is just the beginning of more to come… Paisley shared some behind-the-scenes video on TikTok meeting Megan, where she once again talked about how much she loves his 2003 Mud on the Tires album: “I have said it in every single interview, the question where they’re like, ‘You can only have one album on a deserted island.’ ‘Mud on the Tires.’ Several times, easy answer.” The ever-humble Paisley responded: “You would get so tired of that. Quickly. I cant think of ten better albums.” He’s completely underselling the genius of that album…. But Megan of course disagreed, saying: “No. I get tired of music now, I guess, because I work in it. And that’s an album I can always turn on, like, when I don’t know what to play. It’s the only CD I have in my car. It’s amazing. Every single song. Just the songwriting… I feel like your songs influenced my writing. It’s very conversational and clever. I’m a super fan if y’all can’t tell.” I can totally hear that in her music, and Paisley seemed flattered to learn how much his music has inspired one of country music’s biggest current stars: “Well, that’s disconcerting to say the least. I’m surprised, thank you very much.” And of course, several fans in the comments wondered if there might be some sort of collab coming, and I’m not sure if that’s the case, but they definitely need to get that on the books for 2026, unless Paisley happens to be one of the collabs on Megan’s forthcoming album Cloud 9. I think that would make a TON of sense, and it would be iconic, and I think it will happen one day if it’s not already in the works… You can watch their sweet interaction here: @bradpaisley Meet my super fan @Megan Moroney ♬ original sound – Brad Paisley Megan’s album is due out everywhere on February 20th, and she is heading out on a subsequent tour, including a European leg this fall, in 2026.
