BREAKING: Person of Interest in Custody for Brown University Sh**ting

A person-of-interest has been taken into custody for the mass shooting at Brown University on Saturday that killed two students and left many others injured. Police say they are not currently looking for any other suspects, and the university lockdown has been lifted. Students have been dismissed for winter break, with all final exams canceled. The shooting appears like it may have been a targeted attack, with the suspect going to a specific classroom where students were studying for an economics exam. This clip from Fox News broke down what we know so far: BREAKING: Brown University lockdown LIFTED after a person of interest is in custody for the mass shooting That’s good, at least. Watch what police had to say about the suspect here: BREAKING – Police now have a suspect in the mass shooting at Brown University but are refusing to provide the suspect’s age, race, or motive, only stating that the shooter “yelled something” before the attack and that the weapon used has a “unique characteristic” on it. pic.twitter.com/971tJeYDUU — Right Angle News Network (@Rightanglenews) December 14, 2025 But, rumors are spreading that it could have been another Islamic terror attack. Some reports indicate that the “something” this monster yelled before opening fire was “Allahu Akbar.” Laura Loomer claimed that sources have confirmed the attacker was Muslim: MASS SHOOTER AT BROWN TARGETED CLASSROOM OF PROFESSOR WHO TAUGHT JUDAIC STUDIES AT @BrownUniversity. THE PROFESSOR ALSO TAUGHT ABROAD IN ISRAEL! Why is the media protecting the murderous Muslim who killed innocent people at Brown University? Source tells me the Democrat officials in Rhode Island and woke administrators at Brown are doing all they can to hide the fact that the shooter at Brown University was a Muslim who targeted the classroom of Professor Rachel Friedberg, who taught Judaic Studies in edition to Economics. A source told me students heard the shooter scream “ALLAHU AKBAR” before he opened fire, but the PC culture of Brown has them afraid of being called “Islamophobic”. Source tells me Police and @FBI agents on the ground have also been instructed by Democrat officials on the ground in Rhode Island to not say the words “Muslim” or “Islamic terror”. At this time, we cannot independently verify whether or not the attack was related to Islamic terror. We only know that the suspect is reportedly not a student at the university. He was apprehended at a hotel early Sunday morning. ABC News provided the latest update: A person of interest was taken into custody early Sunday in connection with the fatal mass shooting at Brown University, according to Kristy DosReis, a spokesperson for the Providence Police Department. The person in custody was caught about 3:45 a.m. at a hotel in Coventry, R.I., about 28 miles south of Providence, according to law enforcement sources and Coventry police. At the time the person was detained, the individual was allegedly in possession of two guns, according to sources. “We have detained a person of interest,” Providence Mayor Brett Smiley said at a Sunday-morning news conference. “We are lifting the shelter-in-place.” Rhode Island law enforcement authorities said no one else is being sought in the shooting that occurred Saturday on the Ivy League campus and left two people dead and nine others injured, according to officials. The residents of Providence can “breathe a little easier,” Smiley said. A tip from the public led police to a Hampton Inn in Coventry, where the person of interest was detained, according to sources. A federal source told ABC News the person was only being called a person of interest at this point, but added that they were confident they were on the right track. The person in custody is not a student at the university, sources familiar with the situation said.
