Wendy’s Brings Back Fan Favorite Following Fierce Backlash

Why do fast food restaurants play with our emotions so much? We fall head over heels in love with a menu item and then, poof, it’s gone. Many fans have launched social media campaigns to convince restaurants to bring back their favorites. Sometimes, it works. For years, McDonald’s customers harassed Ronald and Grimace until Mayor McCheese finally had enough and ordered the Snack Wrap to be returned. The move delighted customers and gave others the confidence they needed to campaign for their own menu faves. Wendy’s made lots of customers unhappy when it discontinued sweet and sour sauce earlier this fall. Well, it sounds like Dave Thomas heard the cries in heaven and sent some divine inspiration, because Sweet and Sour will be back. The news thrilled fans. “Fr? I literally stopped going to Wendy’s after they took it away. Tried the new sweet chili (I think) sauce once and stopped going, mcds got my business now lol. Nice to see a business listen to their customers,” one wrote. “thank god the sweet and sour sauce is coming back! i got the sweet chili sauce thinking its the same thing because they looked identical. it is not the same thing. i hated the sweet chili sauce,” another person agreed. Fans appreciated Wendy’s taking their customers’ love for sweet and sour sauce so seriously. “I’m glad that they are backpedaling on the sweet and sour fiasco. What were they thinking killing off a core nugget sauce like that? Legitimately have not been there since we found out because it was so upsetting to someone in the family,” another person shared.
