The Truman Show FEATURING Erika Kirk
I know some of you will say Erika Kirk is completely off limits and how dare I ever question anything about her!
Because…everyone grieves differently.
And that’s true, some people grieve by constantly seeking fame and the spotlight, spending half their time going on Fox News and the other half walking out on stage in a sparkly gold outfit and fireworks:

And I’m not going to spend my time in this article writing about all my thoughts or all the things that seem “off” and “fake” to me about Erika Kirk.
Because a picture is often worth a thousand words and even better than a picture is often a meme and even better than a meme is often satire or parody.
And that’s what I want to show you now.
I don’t know who made this but it’s absolutely genius. So well done.
In just 28 seconds, this satire video conveys more truth than a thousand words could.
It’s the scene from The Truman Show where Truman finally figures it out. He finally figures out his whole life is fake and staged. He finally figures out his “wife” is just playing a role, and she’s actually much more interested in doing product placements and ads to keep the show going.
It’s an iconic scene from cinema history and one of my favorite movies, but someone has replaced/merged the faces of the original actors with those of Erika Kirk and Charlie Kirk and to me this perfectly encapsulates everything that feels “off” and “fake” to me about Erika Kirk.
See what you think:

Well, what do you think?
Brilliantly done?
Or….STOP PICKING ON ERIKA, HOW DARE YOU! [to be read in a Greta Thunberg voice]
And before I go, since we’re talking about The Truman Show, let’s unpack on additional detail about the movie.
This totally flips the entire movie on its head, but there is a theory out there that says Truman knows he’s in a movie the entire time and it’s not just at the end that he finally figures it out.
He’s figured it out long ago, and most of the movie is just him testing the other people to see if anyone else knows and where the edges and boundaries of this fake world actually are.
Fascinating!
