Barry Manilow embarked on his farewell tour, The Last Concerts, in 2024. The announcement marked the end of an era for Fanilows who’ve packed arenas for decades to see the man “who writes the songs that make the whole world sing.” Barry added additional dates to his 2025 tour, as well as residency shows at his home venue, The Westgate, in Las Vegas. Recently, Barry’s cancelled several shows due to a bout with bronchitis. On December 22, the Mandy singer shared devastating news with fans. Barry Manilow isn’t going to let cancer define him. He will have surgery to remove the cancerous spot, but will not undergo radiation or chemotherapy. He will convalesce in true Barry style. “The doctors do not believe it has spread,” he added. “And I’m taking tests to confirm their diagnosis. So that’s it. No chemo. No radiation. Just chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns.” Barry apologized to fans who had planned to see him but could not wait to be back at the Copacabana, and he promised to be back soon! “In the meantime, I’m counting the days until I return to my home away from home at the Westgate Las Vegas for our Valentine’s weekend concerts on February 12-13-14 and throughout 2026,” he said. “Something tells me that February weekend is going to be one big party!” Fanilows wished Barry love and healing vibes. “Wishing you a speedy recovery from NYC where we are waiting for your Radio CIty return!!!
