Former Bryant police detective files lawsuit against police chief

BRYANT, Ark. — A former detective with the Bryant Police Department is suing the chief of police and the mayor for allegedly firing her after she raised concerns about another officer. In a lawsuit filed last week, former Detective Shanna Hastings accuses Bryant Police Chief Karl Miden and Mayor Chris Treat of violating her free speech and the Whistle Blower Act.  According to court documents, the allegations stem from a July encounter when Hastings said she raised concerns about a captain and their alleged ties to the Bandidos Motorcycle Gang.  Hastings said she went to Chief Minden, cited several incidents involving the captain and the gang, and requested an investigation.  In the lawsuit, Hastings said she was told her concerns “reflected a lack of trust in her chain of command.” Court documents show that an official investigation was launched in mid-July, and Hastings was interviewed during that process.  READ MORE Former Bryant police detective files lawsuit against police chief SATANS CHOICE MC WHAT’S THE TRUTH (CHOMO OR NOT) “Keeping It Real MC” motorcycle club member killed A Bimbo Named Candy: Laughlin River Run Rumble Western Australian bikie known for his distinctive facial tattoos has been fined after tattooing a Nazi swastika on his chin
