Larry Fleet Excitedly Announces That His “Highway Feet” Podcast Is Returning… & He’s Building A Studio Just For It

Larry Fleet has some exciting news to share about a new studio… and the return of his popular podcast. The “Where I Find God” singer joined the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast earlier this month to talk new music, faith, sobriety, and to dive into some downright wild stories. He shared how he connects with fans around the world, why he still writes drinking songs despite stepping away from alcohol, and also told us about his run-ins with aliens, ghosts and Bigfoot. All that to say that Fleet is quite the interesting character, and with all of the stories he has in his holster, it’s not a surprise at all that he has his own podcast: Highway Feet with Larry Fleet. He and his bass player, who Fleet refers to as “Crazy Legs,” and another friend of his started the podcast during 2020. The name of the show derives from a song that he wrote with the great Jamey Johnson, and it quickly connected with his fanbase, as he explained: “We had the Highway Feet with Larry Fleet podcast, which me and Jamey Johnson wrote a song called ‘Highway Feet,’ and that’s where that came from… it’s about getting back out there. So I thought, ‘What better name for a podcast than Highway Feet for us?’ We just talk about everything really, but a lot about being on the road.” The only problem that the podcast ran into? Their producer ended up getting a different job, and Fleet’s schedule got awfully busy. So that’s why Highway Feet with Larry Fleet hasn’t released an episode since February of 2025. That being said, Fleet and his team have since figured out their schedule and the producer problem, and he’s now making some serious investments into his podcast: “All of it kind of came to a halt because we lost (our producer), and we were going out of the country for a while. So I said, ‘We’ll kick it back off when we get back.’ Then we got busy, and I had a house outside of Nashville, sold it and moved back to Chattanooga. I bought the lot next to me too, and I’m building a studio.” Yeah… if you build a podcast studio, that’s probably a good sign that the show is coming back. And it was the day after Christmas that Fleet shared with his fans and followers that the studio project (that will double as a songwriting space) was coming along nicely, and that his podcast would return sooner rather than later: “Well big news… the podcast is coming back and building its on little studio and a place to write some songs and see what else we can come up with. There’s a lot of work to do but this is the first stage of it and if y’all wanna see the progress of it let me know and I’ll make some more videos. Hope y’all had a good Christmas and see ya soon!” View this post on Instagram That’s a huge update from Larry Fleet, and a great Christmas present to all of his fans who have been patiently waiting for the return of Highway Feet with Larry Fleet. There’s still a “couple of months” until it comes back, as Fleet revealed in the video above, so until then, you’ll have to catch up on the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast.
