This is actually pretty crazy… CBS News has essentially capitulated, literally stating, quote: “On too many stories, the press has missed the story. Because we’ve taken into account the perspective of advocates and not the average American. Or we put too much weight in the analysis of academics or elites, and not enough on you.” In other words, we realize we’ve been trying to push our propaganda on you for years or even decades and after our ratings have tanked badly, we know realize it’s either change or die. I never actually thought I’d see them admit they failed live on TV and then tell us they’re going to do a 180 and report the actual news to us going forward. Of course I don’t believe that.  I’ll believe it when I see it. But I just have to say congrats fellas! You’re only 10 years late. I founded WLT Report in 2015 because literally every word this guy says for 2 minutes straight below is what I and many other people had already figured out back then… The “MSM” was not reporting the news to us.  They were feeding us extreme propaganda that fit THEIR narrative. So I started WLT Report as the antidote to this garbage, and we quickly amassed 5+ million monthly readers! I guess it’s a huge compliment that 10 years later, CBS is coping hard and trying desperately to copy our work.  So thank you!  And good luck. So here’s my promise to you as long as I sit in this chair: you come first. Not advertisers. Not politicians. Not corporate interests. And, yes, that does include the corporate owners of CBS. Which means I tell you what I know, when I know it and how I know it. And when I get it wrong, I’ll tell you that too. It also means I’m going to talk to everybody, and hold everyone in public life to the same standard. And because I became a journalist to talk to people. I love talking to people about what works in this country, what doesn’t, and not only what should change, but the good ideas that never should. I think telling the truth is one of them. A few remaining comments from me… One, I noticed he calls himself “Legacy Media” which is a term I started using to replace the misleading “Mainstream Media” title several years ago. Nice to see him catching up on that one as well. Two, I noticed that even in this about-face video where he tries to claim he’s seen the light and swears he’s going to change, he’s still lying to your face. Did you catch it? Claiming all the people that have approached him over the years to talk about his reporting of NAFTA. Hilarious! Bro, I am quite confident that NO ONE has stopped you on the streets because they wanted to talk about your reporting on NAFTA. What a joke. If the inability to be truthful and authentic in a short 2 minute apology video is any indication, I don’t think we’re going to see a new and reformed “Legacy Media” any time soon.
