Andy Cohen Suffers Another New Year’s Eve DRUNK RANT Live On Air

This is just so sad and so demeaning to the memory of the class Dick Clark brought to New Years Eve. I realize Andy Cohen did not replace Dick Clark, Ryan Seacrest did, but for some strange reason CNN continues to send Andy Cohen out there each year and each year it just gets worse and worse. At least that’s my opinion, see what you think: Andy Cohen‘s drunk political rant on CNN pic.twitter.com/OR30VaQacq — Karli Bonne’ (@KarluskaP) January 1, 2026 Thank goodness they added captions to that video because honestly I could not understand a word of what he was saying with all that slurring of his words. This is disgusting CNN, take this off the air. Bring back someone with class. Even his buddy Anderson Cooper seems embarrassed by him and trying to cover. Speaking of Anderson Cooper, here is how bad it got in 2023: Andy Cohen, The Vanderbilt and Don Lemon…NYE Update In something of an annual tradition, we have to check in with CNN and find out how drunk Andy Cohen and his buddy The Vanderbilt got on live TV on New Year's Eve... It's been getting worse and worse for a few years now. Funny thing, I don't ever remember Dick Clark downing shot after shot live on the air, do you? Maybe that's why he lived to his early 1000's. Meanwhile, Andy Cohen seemed to want to even out the numbers by making up for Dick Clark's lost time. But this year? Not that I was watching, but checking in on Twitter the day after it appears as though CNN put Andy and Vanderbilt on restriction. No drinks allowed this year. Kevin Hart was not happy about it: Kevin hart wasn’t happy with CNN because they didn’t let Andy Cohen & Anderson Cooper drink alcohol for New Years ?????? pic.twitter.com/453ILS7DLm — Shannonnn sharpes Burner (PARODY Account) (@shannonsharpeee) January 1, 2023 Instead of booze, it looks like they were forced to do mystery shots: What is this bullshit. #CNN is banning Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen from drinking alcohol but forcing them to drink buttermilk shots instead #CNNNYE pic.twitter.com/cJ4oKEtYZC — sagesurge (@sagesurge) January 1, 2023 So classy. Bring back Dick Clark! Even Andy's parents say they're tuning out: https://twitter.com/VidsOnTheBird/status/1609404580215009280 Perhaps they just didn't want to watch garbage like this: Andy asking Nick Cannon if he will get a vasectomy in 2023 is the best thing I’ve witnessed this year #CNNNYE #andycohen #HappyNewYear pic.twitter.com/Mz0NXjKm00 — Dan Johnson (@DanDanoDeege) January 1, 2023 Boozing and talking about vasectomies live on NYE television. Our world is getting worse by the day. Here's what a prior year looked like: Throw back to when #AndyCohen and #AndersonCooper could booze it up on #CNNNYE pic.twitter.com/aABmQ4WRdR — Steal Your Face (@Gr8tfulTX) January 1, 2023 Don Lemon was also put on restriction, perhaps because he did this in a prior year: I can’t believe CNN deprived of us of seeing Don Lemon like this. Losers! pic.twitter.com/RucuUlraZ3 — Lauren (@IamLaurenGill) January 1, 2023 Or perhaps because last year he had some lady say "no broke dick" 5 times live on the air. Stay classy CNN. Bring back Dick Clark! Here's Lemon telling us to "not get it twisted": Drunk Don Lemon a vibe “don’t get it twisted” “I’m a grown man” cheers to that HNY pic.twitter.com/lqVhU0xBMx — SEXYY FRED (@sexyyfred) January 1, 2023 And in case you missed it, here was Drunk Andy from the prior years: Andy Cohen Goes On Drunk NYE Rant Torching Bill deBlasio I don't know whether to love this or be appalled by this or a little of all of the above. I do know this: we didn't know how good we had it all those years when a classy Dick Clark hosted the ball drop each year. No drunken rants, no foul language, just class. Now? Well, now we have Andy Cohen and the Vanderbilt hosting the event and getting TANKED on the air. It did lead to one incredible moment where Andy Cohen, clearly badly inebriated at this point, went on a drunken rant about outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio. Take a look: .@Andy's incredible, drunken rant about @BilldeBlasio! pic.twitter.com/sFUcQUcJNp — Kate Aurthur (@KateAurthur) January 1, 2022 Andy Cohen just dragged Bill DeBlasio up and down 7th Avenue #CNNNYE pic.twitter.com/5m1DEVvZwx — Wes Reynolds (@WesReynolds1) January 1, 2022 Andy Cohen torched de Blasio. https://t.co/ci724yrfcr — John Cardillo (@johncardillo) January 1, 2022 Even the Vanderbilt looked VERY uncomfortable and tried to pull Cohen back to no avail. But it was entertaining and can't disagree with anything he says: Andy Cohen drunkenly starting the year by smoking that Bill de Blasio pack is one of the funniest things I’ve seen on TV #CNNNYE pic.twitter.com/hpuNDt0BpS — Josh Sánchez (@joshnsanchez) January 1, 2022 To be fair, Cohen announced ahead of time he planned to down a ton of drinks that evening: Tonight we will raise MANY glasses to the WONDERFUL legacy of Betty White!!! — Andy Cohen (@Andy) December 31, 2021 I'm sure Betty is very happy with this drunk sendoff. So how much did they have? Well, thanks to @59Dallas we have a counter: https://twitter.com/59dallas/status/1477323715834744835 The most hilarious thing is this isn't the first time Cohen has blasted deBlasio live on the air on New Years Eve. Remember last year? https://twitter.com/BeepSatire/status/1476960224493793283 Here's what the New York Post had to say: An animated Andy Cohen did not mince words while telling viewers of CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live” coverage what he thought about former Mayor Bill de Blasio, who was replaced by Mayor Eric Adams after the ball dropped. Cohen leaned into the camera and nearly needed to be held back by co-host Anderson Cooper as he unloaded on the ex-mayor — despite Cooper pleading with the Bravo personality not to “go on a rant.” “Do his victory lap dance after four years as the crappiest term of the mayor of New York,” Cohen stammered, as an exasperated Cooper shook his head and repeated “wow” in disbelief after failing to change the subject. “The only thing that Democrats and Republicans can agree on is what a horrible mayor he has been. So, sayonara sucker!” Cohen himself admitted today it got away from him a bit: good morning! . Um, I was a bit overserved last night…. — Andy Cohen (@Andy) January 1, 2022 RIP Dick Clark, you have never been more missed than you are right now. Hey Andy, if you really want to torch deBlasio, how about covering this story? https://wltreport.com/2021/12/31/wheres-the-money-bill-nyc-mayor-bill-deblasios-wife-cant-account-for-850-million-of-taxpayer-money/ Sure, his dancing is bad, but so is $850 million gone missing.
