CNN and NPR Finally Cover The MN Fraud — And Investigate Nick Shirley!
CNN has finally realized the Minnesota “daycare” fraud story is huge and not going away.
So they’ve officially launched their own investigation….into Nick Shirley.
That’s right, they’re not investigating the actual fraud, they’re investigating and targeting the guy who uncovered it and blew it wide open.
Sounds about right and very on brand for them.
Here is NPR:
So NPR’s investigation is on Nick Shirley

We all know who he is NPR, and we like him!
You on the other hand….
Absolutely unreal how you could be this far out of touch:
I give you … the front page of NPR:
Hit piece on Nick Shirley Empathy-whine post on daycare The actual $8B Somali fraud story
Like the Somalis, NPR has been known to suck up taxpayer dollars to make America all the worse off. This is what they do. pic.twitter.com/akwJo6ewmE

I’m sure glad we defunded NPR.
How soon until they completely go under?
And then there is CNN, trying to “Fact-Check” Nick Shirley and only actually proving his case 100%.
Hilarious:
CNN disputes that there’s fraud in Minnesota Somali daycares because they called a bunch of daycares, one answered so they asked if they’re committing fraud, and the daycare responded that they’re not

CNN is getting brutally mocked online:
CNN: “Hello it’s CNN, are you committing fraud?”
Somali childcare center: “Hi. No, we are a legitimate business. There’s no fraud here.”
CNN: “We have established that there is no fraud.”

Is this what passes for journalism these days?
A YouTuber did more journalism in one day than CNN has done in one year, and they don’t even seem aware of how to fix it!
Meanwhile, neither does CBS:
CBS NEWS CAPITULATES: Admits It Has Failed, Tries Desperately To Copy WLT Report!
This is actually pretty crazy...
CBS News has essentially capitulated, literally stating, quote:
"On too many stories, the press has missed the story. Because we've taken into account the perspective of advocates and not the average American. Or we put too much weight in the analysis of academics or elites, and not enough on you."
In other words, we realize we've been trying to push our propaganda on you for years or even decades and after our ratings have tanked badly, we know realize it's either change or die.
I never actually thought I'd see them admit they failed live on TV and then tell us they're going to do a 180 and report the actual news to us going forward.
Of course I don't believe that. I'll believe it when I see it.
But I just have to say congrats fellas!
You're only 10 years late.
I founded WLT Report in 2015 because literally every word this guy says for 2 minutes straight below is what I and many other people had already figured out back then...
The "MSM" was not reporting the news to us. They were feeding us extreme propaganda that fit THEIR narrative.
So I started WLT Report as the antidote to this garbage, and we quickly amassed 5+ million monthly readers!
I guess it's a huge compliment that 10 years later, CBS is coping hard and trying desperately to copy our work. So thank you! And good luck.
Watch here:
"On too many stories, the press has missed the story. Because we've taken into account the perspective of advocates and not the average American. Or we put too much weight in the analysis of academics or elites, and not enough on you."
That changes now. The new CBS Evening News… pic.twitter.com/NKdvRJjYCS

FULL TRANSCRIPT:
“A lot has changed since the first person sat in the Evening News chair. For me, the biggest difference is this: people don’t trust us like they used to.
And it’s not just us. It’s all legacy media.
I get it. I’ve been hearing about it from just about everybody, for more than 20 years, as I’ve traveled America on assignment. My mom’s neighbors in West Virginia. My own neighbors in New York City. Thousands of conversations in between.
Sometimes they want to talk to me about our coverage of NAFTA or the Iraq War. Other times, it’s about Hillary Clinton’s emails or Russiagate. Or more recently, COVID lockdowns, Hunter Biden’s laptop or the president’s fitness for office.
The point is that on too many stories the press missed the story. Because we’ve taken into account the perspective of advocates and not the average American. Or we put too much weight in the analysis of academics or elites, and not enough on you.
I know this because, at certain points, I have been you. I have felt that way too. I have felt like what I was seeing and hearing on the news didn’t reflect what I was seeing and hearing in my own life. And that the most urgent questions simply weren’t being asked.
So here’s my promise to you as long as I sit in this chair: you come first. Not advertisers. Not politicians. Not corporate interests. And, yes, that does include the corporate owners of CBS.
Which means I tell you what I know, when I know it and how I know it. And when I get it wrong, I’ll tell you that too. It also means I’m going to talk to everybody, and hold everyone in public life to the same standard. And because I became a journalist to talk to people. I love talking to people about what works in this country, what doesn’t, and not only what should change, but the good ideas that never should.
I think telling the truth is one of them.
Hold me to it.”
Truly stunning to see.
A few remaining comments from me...
One, I noticed he calls himself "Legacy Media" which is a term I started using to replace the misleading "Mainstream Media" title several years ago.
Nice to see him catching up on that one as well.
Two, I noticed that even in this about-face video where he tries to claim he's seen the light and swears he's going to change, he's still lying to your face.
Did you catch it?
Claiming all the people that have approached him over the years to talk about his reporting of NAFTA.
Hilarious!
Bro, I am quite confident that NO ONE has stopped you on the streets because they wanted to talk about your reporting on NAFTA.
What a joke.
If the inability to be truthful and authentic in a short 2 minute apology video is any indication, I don't think we're going to see a new and reformed "Legacy Media" any time soon.
Don't hold your breath.
