McDonald’s Unveils First New Permanent Menu Item in Over 40 Years

McDonald’s has dropped its first new worldwide permanent menu item since 1983, and it’s HUGE—literally. The iconic franchise finally announced the arrival of the Big Arch, a massive burger that features two 1/4 100% Irish beef patties, three slices of white processed cheese, crispy and fresh onions, pickles, lettuce, and a new tangy sauce named “Big Arch.” To put its side into perspective, the classic McDondonald’s hamburger is 3.5 ounces and has 255 calories. The Big Arch is 14 ounces and has 1057 calories. The burger was first teased back in December 2023, and it was tested in Canada shortly after. After performing well, McDonald’s added it to UK menus, and now the US gets to experience the Big Arch.
