'Jeopardy' Host Ken Jennings Trashes Trump, Loves 'Abolish DHS' on Bluesky Bender

Fox News media reporter Joseph Wulfsohn noted that Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings was well, triggered by the ICE-agent shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis.  "The ‘prosecute the former regime at every level’ candidate has my vote in 2028," Jennings wrote. For someone who claims to believe in democracy, calling the currently elected administration a "regime" is an interesting choice of words.   He added some shade at America as a whole: “America is always like ‘ok but the NEXT regime change will work,’ like when I ‘cut out carbs’ briefly every January.” How in sync is Ken with the Left? He also Blue-skowled: It's been a dark week, but I just saw someone reply to an "Abolish ICE" post with a scoldy Bluesky "Uh, try abolish DHS" and that joy will sustain me for a little while. Wulfsohn noted this wasn't Ken's first social-media jab at the Trumps:  In 2017, the former "Jeopardy!" champion mocked Trump's 11-year-old son Barron, who reportedly believed that the infamous photo of liberal comedian Kathy Griffin holding a prop of the president's bloodied severed head was real after seeing it on television. "Barron Trump saw a very long necktie on a heap of expired deli meat in a dumpster. He thought it was his dad & his little heart is breaking," Jennings wrote in a since-deleted post on Twitter (now called X). Fellow Jeopardy! champion James Holzhauer tweeted a photo of a post from someone who said they never had and never would watch Jeopardy! now. He cracked: “tough choice for Sony. fire Ken Jennings OR alienate a rando who doesn’t watch Jeopardy, causing him to continue not watching.” Ken wasn't political enough to lose his gig, as his co-host Mayim Bialik was dumped after she refused to cross a Writers Guild picket line. Anna Good at the Daily Dot noted there was more. Jennings drew more attention after another Bluesky user quote-reposted him and wrote, “If there’s even an election in 2028.” Rather than ignoring the comment, Jennings responded with a thread that pushed back against what he described as defeatist thinking: [I]t's tactically wrong. "No point discussing political opposition to fascism, there won't be elections anyway" cedes victory to your enemies.  It's defeatism and nihilism….If you are anxious and sad about the state of the world, that's fine, and there are plenty of strategies for dealing with that. But I think you already know that drive-by online dooming isn't a strategy. It's selfish and adolescent. It's a contagion that only spreads the worst of you, not the best.
