Billions Will Soon Have the Chance to View an Incredibly Rare Celestial Event
In less than two months, the moon will shine crimson in the sky. On March 3, 2026, the Earth will be directly between the sun and a full moon, creating a lunar eclipse also known as a blood moon. This beautiful moon occurs every one to three years, and we will not be seeing it again until 2028. According to Pubity, approximately 6 billion people will have a chance to see the lunar eclipse. And the best part is, you don’t need any special gear or protective eyewear.

The Lunar Eclipse Will Last a Good Long While
According to Pubity, viewers will have plenty of time to check out the lunar eclipse.
“On March 3, a total lunar eclipse will cause the Moon to appear blood red for about 82 minutes. This happens when Earth moves directly between the Sun and the Moon, blocking direct sunlight. Instead of going dark, the Moon glows red because Earth’s atmosphere bends and filters sunlight, allowing mostly red wavelengths to reach the lunar surface,” the post reads.
The comment section is filled with people excited for the lunar eclipse.
“Will we finally be able to see a blood moon in the UK. It never looks red when it’s meant to here,” someone wrote.
Of course, there were also lots of jokes. Like his person, who shared a bit of Twilight humor.
“Humans: ‘Wow, the moon looks beautiful tonight.’cTwilight fans: ‘Edward, stay inside. Bella is already outside,” they wrote.
“Happens to be my birthday hmm ,hope I get new powers on that day,” another person shared.
This person thinks the lunar eclipse will be beautiful, but they’ll watch it from the comfort of their home.
“This feels like an event to stay inside, lock your doors, and not let anyone in for,” they joked.
