Jenna Fischer Celebrates Huge Milestone in Breast Cancer Journey

In October 2024, The Office alum Jenna Fischer shocked fans by announcing that she had breast cancer. Jenna battled the disease privately for a year, but felt that sharing her story during Breast Cancer Awareness Month could help others. Since her announcement, she’s periodically given fans updates, including talking about treatment and hair loss. Jenna recently shared a sweet photo on Instagram marking a huge milestone in her cancer journey. After battling with hair loss, wigs, and regrowth from cancer treatment, Jenna Fischer got a darling new haircut. “New Haircut! Thank you to my hair fairy@christikaycagle She has been with me every step of the way on this journey. She helped me get wigs, built me 4 custom hats with hair, gave me my first pixie, designed tiny clip-in extensions to help fill in the gaps for a photoshoot, helped me figure out how to deal with an all-new texture (my hair grew back thicker and more coarse after chemo), and now here we are! I finally have enough hair for a bob and I beyond love it,” she wrote. It’s such a wonderful feeling that only cancer patients understand: finally getting enough hair back to have an ACTUAL HAIRCUT! It’s like a piece of yourself finally coming back,” they wrote. “So so happy for both of us!” “Your bob is giving me hope that my post chemo Greg Brady hair will someday look cute!!” Another person wrote. “Thank you for your inspiration… I can’t wait until my hair looks like this!!! my eyelashes are still very much missing at 5 months post chemo,” a fan added.
