Key later amendments abolished slavery (13th, 1865), granted citizenship and equal protection (14th, 1868), extended voting rights to Black men (15th, 1870), women (19th, 1920), and 18-year-olds (26th, 1971), enabled the federal income tax (16th, 1913), required direct election of senators (17th, 1913), repealed Prohibition (21st, 1933), and limited presidential terms (22nd, 1951).
