Lee Brice Asks For Help From The Nashville Community To Find His Missing Dog: “She’s Not Just A Dog, She’s Family”

Can’t even imagine how they’re feeling. Lee Brice is asking for help from the Nashville community after his pregnant pup, Charlee, went missing two weeks ago. According to Brice, Charlee “slipped away from home,” and since then it sounds like they’ve been on a desperate search to find their missing dog. “We’ve searched every back road, called every shelter, and prayed harder than we ever have.” Brice didn’t share the exact location that she went missing from, but says that by now she could be pretty much anywhere in the greater Nashville area: “She could be anywhere in or around the Nashville area… by now she could be anywhere from way south of Franklin, to past Dickson west of town, or any surrounding areas.” And he also shared a heartfelt message to his beloved dog while asking the community to keep their eyes out: “Charlee, if you’re out there, hang on, my pretty girl. Daddy’s coming for you. To everyone reading this, y’all know how much our four-legged friends mean to us country folks. If you’ve seen a pregnant dog that looks like her, or heard anything at all, please message me, comment below, or share this post. Any little clue could bring her home to her babies… and to us.” Of course anybody who has a dog knows how much they mean to you. It’s not a stretch to say I like my dog more than I like most people, and I can’t imagine the heartbreak of not knowing where she is or whether she’s safe. I would be out there searching non-stop. Many people in the comments suggested hiring a drone company to search for the missing pup, while many others shared helpful tips or simply words of encouragement. Hopefully Charlee makes it home soon safe and sound…but if you’ll excuse me, it looks like I’ve now got to go search all over Nashville for a pregnant dog. Did You Know Stephen Wilson Jr. Invented Dentastix For Dogs? Stephen Wilson Jr. has lived many different lives. In case you didn’t know, the “I’m A Song” singer hasn’t been a singer-songwriter his entire life. At first, he was a boxer – as his father had trained him to be. Then, he went to Middle Tennessee State University and studied microbiology. After he graduated with his bachelor’s degree, he went to work for the MARS company. Unaffiliated with space… rather, the MARS company that makes candy and pet food. Wilson Jr. got into more detail about that portion of his life during an interview on This Past Weekend with Theo Von. The 46-year-old country star told the comedian and podcaster that his educational background actually set up him to be a scientist rather than an artist: “I have a lot of training in science. I went to Middle Tennessee State University, and I worked at MARS, the food company, in research and development for them as a food scientist. I worked in pet food for them, which is based out of Nashville.” Interestingly enough, Wilson Jr. says that he witnessed a lot of co-workers and higher-ups at MARS eating the pet food that they were creating. He said a lot of people did it to prove they were “tough,” which seems a little weird… but I’m sure it did happen. Stephen Wilson Jr. never got in on that. He preferred to just make the pet food, and he actually invented a dog treat that you have probably heard of (or even tossed to your furry friend at one point): “It’s called Dentastix Fresh. It’s still on the market. I see it out there. It’s for dogs. It’s a teeth-cleaning dental chew, very digestible. That’s my baby right there. That was one of my products that I launched from start to finish. It’s cool to see it out there still doing it’s thing.” Now when you walk down the pet aisle at the grocery, you can point at the Dentastix and say, “Stephen Wilson Jr. created that.” Theo Von was blown away by that revelation, and suggested that the country music artist should toss the dog treats out to end his concerts. Wilson Jr. was a fan of the idea, and even said he could take it a step further: “I probably need to start chucking them out there. Just take a bite out of it and (toss it in the crowd).” Wouldn’t that be something? Doesn’t hurt to promote an invention of yours at your own concert. The post Lee Brice Asks For Help From The Nashville Community To Find His Missing Dog: “She’s Not Just A Dog, She’s Family” first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
