Savannah Guthrie Stuns Fans with New Voice After Vocal Surgery

Savannah Guthrie had surgery to treat vocal nodules and a polyp in her throat in early 2026. She explained her upcoming absence during the December 19 broadcast of the Today Show. “Some of you have noticed that my voice has been very scratchy and started to crack a little bit like Peter Brady, who was going through a change,” Savannah said with a laugh. Her surgery was a success, and she shared an update with fans in early January. Savannah Guthrie was on total vocal rest to let her voice heal and relied on a whiteboard to share her thoughts. Two weeks later, she’s on the road to recovery. You’re allowed to talk, and if you talk too much, which is a real risk for me,” she said. You start to feel it, so you just have to take it easy.” Fans loved hearing Savannah Guthrie’s new old voice and can’t wait to have her back on the show. “So happy to see you’re doing well, Savannah! Keep up the great work!” A fan cheered. “Very happy your feeling better!” Another fan added. Savannah Guthrie plans to return to Today on January 26. This story’s featured image can be found here.
