President Trump Announces New Fed Chair: “He’s Central Casting!”
President Trump just announced the new Fed Chair (spoiler alert, it’s Kevin Warsh) but that isn’t what caught my attention.
No, it was the fact that President Trump just named TWO more people as “Central Casting”.
Look, I’m not saying there is some big grand conspiracy here, but he sure does love using that phrase. Central Casting. I would know, because we’ve probably covered it over 50 times now over the last five years.
The phrase really showed up back in 2020 and since then has continued to be used very often by our President.
The volume’s a little low in this clip, so I added captions for you:
TRANSCRIPT:
TRUMP: He’s, uh, central casting. He’s like Roger Penske, he’s central casting. Great guys. You know him, Roger? Very good guy.
Roger, no auto pen. I didn’t use an auto pen. Thank you. Here, Roger, take that.
ROGER PENSKE: I will. Awesome. Thank you, Mr. President.
TRUMP: Oh, it’s great. Thank you. There you go, my man. I don’t wanna sign each letter.
You know, they sign each letter and they hand pens. I used to watch these presidents. One letter—you gotta see what it looks like at the end. It never looks, never looks too good.
Here, Rachel, take that. That’s for your team.
Thank you. There you go. Thank you. Uh, congratulations. This is really exciting.
Awesome. Great, thank you very much.
