The Epstein Files: As Bad As We Thought
We don’t have all the Epstein files but we have enough to know for sure that many powerful people knew about a lot of abuse and torture of young girls.
Is it a silver lining that Epstein never abused women of color? One of the documents has him specifically telling one of his victims not to “bring me any n*ggers.”
Bad taste jokes aside, the files are a horror but we must remember that this is not all of them. This is only a first response. It feels like chum. We shown that many high profile people had personal relationships with Jeffrey Epstein and either witnessed or participated in sexual abuse, torture, and more.
These are crimes, right? Shouldn’t the Justice Department arrest someone?
Not necessarily, they say!
“There’s a lot of correspondence. There’s a lot of emails. There’s a lot of photographs. There’s a lot of horrible photographs that appear to be taken by Mr. Epstein or people around him. But that doesn’t allow us necessarily to prosecute somebody,” said Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche on Sunday.
If torture is not worth looking into for arrest, I don’t quite know what we have a justice system for. You can argue that the statute of limitations is up for much of this evidence but recall that the government has had this evidence for years, and in some case decades. They DECIDED not to prosecute a long time ago.
The burning question now is: Why!?
