“I Used To Cover His Songs When I Was 18” – Carter Faith Reflects On Full Circle Moment Of Being Asked To Tour With Post Malone

A full circle moment for this “Bar Star.” Carter Faith is gearing up to hit the road with Post Malone and Jelly Roll, as they recently announced their Big A** Stadium Tour Part Two. For the second installation of this tour, the “Losers” artists are calling on North Carolina native, Carter Faith, to join them on the road. View this post on Instagram In case you’re somehow unfamiliar with Faith at this point, she’s undeniably one of the brightest up-and-coming female artists in the entire genre at this point, with Ella Langley naming her at the 2025 ACM Awards that she’s going to be the next big female country star. After releasing her debut single, “Leaving Tennessee,” in 2020, the self-described “cowgirl hippie and sometimes kind of trippy” has flown up the ranks over the past two years in particular with her patented 70s-inspired sound. This was best displayed on her debut album, Cherry Valley, which was released last month and quickly flew to the top of many Top Albums of 2025 lists, thanks in part to infectious, sassy tracks such as “Grudge,” “Betty,” and “Bar Star.” Faith is well on her way to becoming a household name, being a supporting act on the Big A** Stadium Tour Part Two, and she’s also scored supporting nods for King himself, George Strait, as well as Chris Stapleton for upcoming shows this year. However, taking the stage before Post Malone is a true full-circle moment for the “Six String” singer. Shortly after the tour announcement, Faith shared on social media that she had covered Post Malone songs in the early days of her career and is clearly a fan of his work. “Okay, I’m going on tour with Post Malone, and my high school self is freaking the f**k out ’cause I used to cover his songs at my bar gigs when I was 18. This one is for her.” Faith says in the video before she begins singing “Better Now” by Post Malone. But the moment is even more of a pinch-me moment for Faith because she revealed in the video’s caption that it all started when Malone sent her a DM when she was at a low point financially, saying he liked her tune “Bar Star.” “A couple months ago, I was buying lace and fake birds at Michael’s to make my own stage props. I was stressing cause it was almost time to pay my rent, and I spent way too much lol. When I was in the checkout line, I saw Post had DM’d me and said he liked my song ‘Bar Star,’ and I laughed cause I thought it was fake. It was not fake, and now I’m gonna tour the country with him, but I’m still gonna make my own stage props. I can’t wait wow.” The DM that started it all. Thank goodness Carter Faith didn’t dismiss it as a fake direct message, although her instincts told her otherwise at first. A true “pinch me” moment for her. View this post on Instagram Carter Faith will be a knockout addition to this already stacked tour bill. I can’t wait to see her shine on stages across the country this spring and summer.
