RFK Jr. Thanks Kid Rock For Sharing His “Healthy Habits” & The Jokes Are Flying

Listen, I don’t have anything against Kid Rock, but I’m also not going to be taking health advice from the guy. Department of Health & Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was in Nashville recently, and he apparently stopped by Kid Rock‘s “southern White House” to spend time with the country rocker – and share health tips. RFK Jr. was in Music City as part of his “Take Back Your Health” tour, discussing his “Make America Healthy Again” agenda and goals for the Trump administration. While he spent some time meeting with Tennessee lawmakers, he also met with one of the administration’s biggest fans and allies in Nashville, Kid Rock. Of course Kid Rock, whose real name is Bob Ritchie, has his own replica White House overlooking Nashville: Kid Rock’s mini White House revealed after star spent 20 years building it — complete with a golden urinal, church and more https://t.co/xYOPjrRt9L pic.twitter.com/ejkpdwJLqw — New York Post (@nypost) April 2, 2025 The redneck White House is complete with a gold elevator and a “golden shower” (get it?), so there’s no doubt that RFK Jr. got to see all of the highlights while he was there. But apparently they also spent some time discussing MAHA as the Secretary thanked Kid Rock for sharing his “healthy habits.” Always great seeing you, @KidRock. Thank you for inviting me to your home and sharing your healthy habits! pic.twitter.com/2qkS1eeKOY — Secretary Kennedy (@SecKennedy) February 4, 2026 Now I’m going to say what everybody else is thinking: When I think of Kid Rock, “healthy habits” aren’t exactly the first thing that comes to mind. Back in 2015, he even called for marijuana, cocaine and heroin to be legalized, and has spoken extensively about his hard-partying ways. For example, during a 2011 interview Kid Rock once recalled passing out in the bathroom after a night of partying after a show: “When Junior was young, it was Christmastime, I had a gig the night before, and I was s—faced, just beyond. Drugs and alcohol. I passed out in my bathroom, dead weight.” And who can forget his 2019 rant onstage at his bar, where he took aim at Joy Behar and Oprah while mistakenly blasting Kathie Lee Gifford while trying to call out Kathy Griffin. After the video went viral, Kid Rock doubled down while admitting that he had quite a bit to drink: “I have a big mouth and drink too much sometimes, shocker!” He later said he was so “out of it” that he mixed up Gifford and Griffin: “I was trying to go after Kathy Griffin you know, for holding up Trump’s head, but I’m so out of it I’m like ‘f–k Kathie Lee Gifford.’ When it comes back on TMZ or whatever a few weeks later I’m like ‘oh man, I like Kathie Lee Gifford.’ We’ve been kind of friendly throughout the years.” I’ve also heard stories from people who have been to his shows about his spread backstage, featuring bologna sandwiches and Moon Pies, so while I like and appreciate Kid Rock, he’s just probably not the guy I’m going to be taking health advice from. And after RFK Jr. revealed their meeting yesterday, the jokes about Kid Rock’s “healthy habits” began flying: Been around him 3x and never seen one healthy habit. — Brett Griffin (@SpotterBrett) February 5, 2026 I had no idea coors light and meth were healthy. God bless America. — Dixon Tudeep (@dixon_tudeep) February 5, 2026 I didn’t know getting in a fight. Because if beer and bologna sandwiches turn out to be healthy after all, it turns out I’m in way better shape than I thought. The post RFK Jr. Thanks Kid Rock For Sharing His “Healthy Habits” & The Jokes Are Flying first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
