Zach Bryan To Replace Luke Combs At The Madden Bowl… Which Also Happens To Include Gavin Adcock

Time for a rematch? If you recall, last month, EA Sports announced the headliners for its pre-Super Bowl event, Madden Bowl. In case you’re not familiar with the event, it’s typically held during Super Bowl weekend and gathers the best Madden players around the country to compete in a tournament with a hefty $1 million prize. This year, however, EA expanded the event and booked some pretty heavy hitters as music guests. Originally, Luke Combs and Teddy Swims were set to headline with the likes of Gavin Adcock, Stephen Wilson Jr. and rapper, LaRussell all making appearances and performing throughout the night With the Madden Bowl set to take place tomorrow at the Chase Center in San Francisco, it seemed like it was lining up to be a pretty interesting event. Today, however, it got even more interesting. Announced this morning, Luke Combs will be dropping out of his performance due to an undisclosed family obligation (most likely due to his wife, Nicole, expecting their third child soon). Taking to X, he’d express that he was sorry to miss the event but stated that family comes first. So sorry to miss y’all at Madden Bowl, but family always comes first. Have a great time. https://t.co/HXVTswkTR4 — Luke Combs (@lukecombs) February 5, 2026 In his place, none other than Zach Bryan is stepping in to headline the Madden Bowl, and that should set off some alarm bells if you’ve been keeping up with the latest drama in country music lately, thanks to Gavin Adcock performing at the event. In case you’re unfamiliar with Bryan and Adcock’s beef, let me catch you up to speed. Back in July, Bryan accidentally told a 14-year-old fan to “GOMD” (get off my d*ck) after failing to meet with fans after his second of three nights at MetLife Stadium in July. Adcock, who is known for stirring the pot, fired back at Bryan, calling him out shortly after the aforementioned “GOMD” comment. If you’re familiar with Adcock, you’ll know that he’s quite famous at this point for continuing beefs and arguments long past when a standard artist would call it quits, and it was no different here with Bryan. Around two months would go by with on-and-off pestering from Adcock, and in September, during Born & Raised Fest, Bryan would make a surprise appearance alongside rising country star, Gabriella Rose, to perform their single together, “Madeline.” While performing “Madeline,” he apparently thought that was the appropriate time to taunt Gavin Adcock, not once but twice, including in the middle of the song. Shortly after the performance, he allegedly saw Adcock through a fence as he was leaving and stopped to confront him. Hopping over the fence, he was grabbed by security with no punches being thrown. Adcock argued that Bryan had seen him earlier in the day and wasn’t drunk enough to confront him then. Of course, this then led to the now-viral video of the Oklahoma native jumping the fence and confronting the “Run Your Mouth” singer. Should’ve let them fight it out. // https://t.co/hm9LHw2rhS https://t.co/q0nhD5rRyB pic.twitter.com/By5iNYn4uR — Whiskey Riff (@WhiskeyRiff) September 14, 2025 It should go without saying that their Born & Raised confrontation remained the wildest and most absurd story, arguably of the entire year. Unsurprisingly, Adock would continue to take shots at the “Something in the Orange” singer well after the dust had settled in September in Oklahoma, telling his crowd in Canada that he’s supposedly never met someone who liked Bryan back in November. “I’m gonna tell y’all this, in all honesty and the bottom of my heart, I’ve never met a person that’s met that motherf—er that said they like that f—in dude, ever, not one time.” Bryan, on the other hand, would never publicly address the altercation, though he would allude to past issues in a post announcing his sobriety and jokingly referencing how he tried to jump a fence during a performance with Matthew McConaughey. It should go without saying that the beef between the two artists has been an ongoing point of discussion (and sort of a meme at this point) throughout the country music community. In particular, fans of both artists have been at odds ever since, and the Instagram comments on EA Sports and Bryan’s joint post were nothing short of hilarious. View this post on Instagram There are too many good ones to add, but here are a few of the most-liked/funniest. “Zach and Gavin in the same place. Should be good.” “OPEN THE GATES THEN” “Zach AND Gavin hahaha” “They knew to put Zach and Gavin in the same place“ ““Having ZB and Gavin together is frying me lmao” “Is there gonna be boxing entertainment from [Zach] and [Gavin] between sets?” “Where can I buy the PPV?“ “This is absolutely diabolically hilarious“ “… Zach and Gavin round 2?” “we getting Zach Bryan vs Gavin Adcock in the big 2026” Absolutely hilarious. If I was a betting man, I’d say that Bryan and Adcock finally put the beef to rest tomorrow, but you never really know with those two. For those curious on how this will all play out, Madden Bowl’s blue carpet event starts at 10 p.m. EST and can be watched via all of EA Sports’ social media accounts. The post Zach Bryan To Replace Luke Combs At The Madden Bowl… Which Also Happens To Include Gavin Adcock first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
