Netanyahu Rushes to Washington as Israel Pushes U.S. Toward War With Iran
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be in Washington this week to meet with President Trump. This will be his fifth visit to the White House since President Trump took office last year.
The Prime Minister was set to come to the U.S. on February 18 but he reportedly moved the trip up after the U.S. has mysteriously not bombed Iran yet. What gives?
Israel clearly wants the U.S. to start a war with Iran. They have made that quite plain. It seems Netanyahu wants to know what the hold-up is.
The U.S. held negotiations with Iran on Friday. The Israeli Prime Minister’s office says that any deal that the U.S. reaches with Iran “must include limitations on ballistic missiles and a halting of the support for the Iranian axis.”
Iran has also said that it will not agree to zero enrichment of uranium. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said this on Sunday: “Why have we insisted so strongly on enrichment and continue to do so, and why are we not willing to give it up, even if war is imposed on us? Because no one has the right to tell us what we should have and what we should not have.”
These unreasonable demands are clearly a black ball in the negotiations and no one should take them seriously, even if politicians will say dumb things on X as if they are.
