NFL Gives Charlie Puth’s ‘National Anthem’ a Big Stamp of Approval
Singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl is an honor for artists. It’s also a moment when all eyes are on the singer, and the critics just love to give their opinions. There have been some very good performances over the years, and some that weren’t so great. Whitney Houston’s powerful 1991 rendition set the gold standard. This year, Charlie Puth took the stage and gave the people just what they wanted. He sang while playing the piano, bringing many to tears.
