A gubernatorial candidate in Minnesota has dropped out of the race after a horrific family tragedy. On Saturday night, the 22-year-old daughter of Republican Jeff Johnson was stabbed to death in her own home. It’s suspected that she was murdered by her own husband. They found Hallie Tobler dead from multiple stab wounds, and her husband with life-threatening injuries. Both were inside the locked apartment. “Based on the investigation, it is believed that (the husband’s) injuries are self-inflicted and that he is the person responsible for Hallie’s injuries and death,” police said in a news release. Hallie’s husband and alleged murder, Dylan Michael Tobler, survived his injuries. This evil man is now in police custody. The New York Post reported: Dylan, who is now in stable condition, has been taken into police custody and is expected to be hit with homicide charges in connection with Hallie’s death following his release from the hospital, cops added. As a result of this devastating loss, Jeff Johnson is understandably suspending his campaign.
