The Olympic Winter Games have been a roller coaster of emotions for Team USA. There have been wins and losses and tragic accidents. Participating in the games is a lifelong goal for so many athletes, but only the best in the world make it there. That in and of itself is an incredible feat that we know they’ll never forget. Of course, winning a medal is pretty darn amazing, too. Team USA alpine skier Breezy Johnson won gold in the women’s downhill race, but that’s not the only bling she’s taking home from Milano Cortina. Breezy’s boyfriend, Connor Watkins, proposed with a gorgeous rock. Connor Watkins Was at the Finish Line Waiting to Propose to Breezy Johnson Connor Watkins was waiting for Breezy Johnson at the finish line of the Super-G, ready to propose. Breezy didn’t finish the race after a crash, but we imagine she was out of her mind when she saw Connor. The newly engaged Connor told NBC News he’d planned to propose at the Olympics for a year. His dream was to be waiting at the finish line, and it all came together perfectly. Breezy Johnson told NBC News she’d dreamed of an engagement and a gold medal at the Olympics. “I mean, that was my hope!” she said. “But it’s definitely a lot more crazy with everything just happening all at once, and the reality of it is so different than the way you imagined, and so much better.” Fans loved seeing Connor get down on one knee to propose to Breezy. “That is so sweet. May you never ever lose that feeling for one another!” A fan wished. “Okay, that really rocks! How many people win a Gold medal and get engaged at the same Olympics? How very special,” another person agreed. “Thank you for sharing this. Congrats!!! Rock On!” Congratulations to Connor and Breezy. May your love be filled with nothing but gold medal moments.
