In a catastrophe (grid down, roads blocked, natural disaster, etc.), parents might be stuck at work/commute. This simple envelope gives clear instructions and a checklist so older kids know exactly what to do—without panic. Super easy to make: • Seal it in a labeled envelope (fridge door or safe spot). • Include: contact list, steps (secure house, ration food/water, comms plan), checklist (flashlights, meds, neighbor help), meet-up spot if needed. • Talk through it as a family—turn it into a calm drill, not scary.
