Giving back to the fans. Megan Moroney released her third studio album Cloud 9 this past Friday, and of course, fans have been buzzing about “Who Hurt You?” and I’ve had “I Only Miss You,” her duet with Ed Sheeran, on repeat. While she is doing a full tour run this spring and summer to celebrate the album, she’s also doing a limited run of more intimate shows where she’ll be stopping in nine cities, nine days in a row, starting on Cloud 9‘s release day. She of course played a few songs from the album, but she had an even bigger surprise for fans at shows in New York and Richmond this weekend, as she told the crowd she would be signing something for every single person there, and it looked like a huge crowd, so it’s really cool that she gave them all a moment to say hello and get something signed by her in person that they’ll keep forever: “I was gonna play three songs for y’all which I just did, and now, I am going to sign something for every single person here tonight. CDs and vinyl available for purchase, and I’m gonna stay here until I sign something for every single one of y’all. Thank you so much for being the best fans in the world, I love y’all so much, and thank you so much. I love you.” You can hear how excited they were by the screams in the background, and from what I read in the comments section, it sounds like she did it at both shows this weekend and likely will at the rest of the seven concerts on this run. Megan does a lot for her fans, and she goes above and beyond to include them in album drops, and ahead of this small tour, she held several album listening parties for some of her biggest fans where they got to hang out with her and hear all the music first.
