Something BIG is loading. Koe Wetzel fans, buckle up: the timeline for when we are getting a new LP has officially been revealed. Throughout January, it became increasingly clear that Wetzel was preparing to launch his brand-new musical era. In addition to the previously released teaser for his upcoming album, which featured six separate teasers for new tracks, Wetzel began heavily teasing his brand-new track, “Time Goes On,” in nearly every social media post. In particular, his January 7 album teaser with the caption, “Ready for this new chapter to start,” really turned heads and prompted fans to beg for an official album announcement. Wetzel officially kicked off his next chapter with “Time Goes On,” but fans had yet to get any announcement about when his next album (or two) would be released. If you read that “or two” comment and went, “wait a minute,” yes, that’s correct. In the fall, Wetzel shared that he has recorded not one but TWO records over the past year. Though there’s no scheduled release date, he promised that new music is coming soon. “We’ve got some new music coming. I don’t know exactly when the release date’s gonna be, but a lot of new music. I think we’re sitting on like two records now. WORLD TOUR ANNOUNCE TOMORROW..” LET’S GO. Lots of big things are on the horizon for the East Texas rocker. In the video accompanying the announcement, Wetzel is heard talking about how all the scars, late nights, and mistakes have led him to where he stands today, and when the sun goes down, “that’s when the real ones rise.” While it hasn’t been formally announced, it sounds like ‘The Night Champion” has something to do with the album name or the name of his world tour. Only time will tell… Summer is right around the corner, and with the promise of a Koe Wetzel record, it’s certain to be a rowdy one.
