Preparing My Family for WWIII (DIY Solar Build)

Beloved, welcome back to the homestead. In this video we continue building our DIY off-grid solar system, installing and fabricating the custom adjustable mount for two 400-watt solar panels. This small solar array is designed for backup power, grid-down scenarios, and homestead energy independence. Instead of purchasing a $2,900 commercial solar mounting kit, we fabricate our own adjustable aluminum bracket system for roughly $750 in materials. The system allows the panels to be adjusted seasonally to capture the maximum solar angle during winter and summer. This setup isn't meant to power a whole house — it's designed for subsistence power: keeping batteries, EcoFlow units, and essential equipment charged if the grid goes down. In this episode: • Building a DIY solar panel mounting system • Joining two 400-watt solar panels into one array • Fabricating adjustable aluminum brackets • Designing a seasonally adjustable solar mount • Preparing a homestead for grid failure or emergency power Solar power is one of the most reliable ways to create energy independence on a homestead, and even a small system can provide critical backup power when it matters most. Thanks for watching. May God bless you and your families. Please keep us in your prayers.
