An armed Muslim man wearing full military-style tactical gear was arrested after walking into an elementary school in Spring, Texas this week, raising serious questions about school security and potential terrorist threats. The suspect, 39-year-old Kyle Najm Chris, also known as Muhi Mohanad Najm, entered Zwink Elementary School on Tuesday through a door that was not properly secured by a previous visitor. According to court documents, Chris is originally from Baghdad, Iraq, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen on August 24, 2022. Kyle Chris, 39, also known as Muhi Mohanad Najm, was arrested at his home Wednesday night and faces a felony charge of unlawfully carrying a weapon in a prohibited place after the incident at Zwink Elementary School. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when Chris slipped through the front entrance during a 15-second window when the doors didn’t fully latch after a parent left. School officials said he was wearing what appeared to be a uniform and had a holstered firearm and a Taser. Fortunately, the school’s “secure vestibule” security system prevented him from entering the hallways where students were located. The double-door system trapped him in the front office area, and he was unable to reach any children. When the employee asked Chris how he entered without access and whether there was armed security on campus, he told her the front door was not latched. When she asked for identification, he provided none and didn’t identify himself by name or agency. Chris allegedly told school staff he was a security guard, but investigators determined he is actually unemployed and does not hold any certifications or licenses to serve as an officer. Klein ISD explained in a letter to parents that they were actively working with multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, to identify and apprehend the suspect. From The Gateway Pundit: Officials were able to track the suspect through security camera footage, facial recognition, and the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Flock license plate database after he left the premises. The suspect reportedly left the school property, got into a dark blue Dodge Charger, and was later arrested at his home about four minutes away. Chris was arrested Wednesday evening at his residence, located just minutes from the school. He has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, a third-degree felony, and is being held on a $75,000 bond at Harris County Jail. No students or staff members were harmed during the incident.
