Muscadine Bloodline Details Post Malone’s Incredible Kindness While They Were Touring Together: “The Sweetest, Most Thoughtful Guy”
One of the nicest guys in music.
Say what you will about Post Malone’s venture into country music over the last few years, it’s become increasingly clear that he’s been a positive force in the genre. Unlike other artists who have crossed over into the genre for their own gain, Post has proven time and again that he’s in it for the music.
Beyond calling upon some of the biggest stars, ranging from Hank Williams Jr. and Dolly Parton to Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen on F-1 Trillion, the “Congratulations” singer has also highlighted some of the most underrated names in the genre like Sierra Ferrell, Billy Strings, Wyatt Flores, Carter Faith and more, both on tour and on the album.
What seems to be the most apparent, outside of the fact that he has a deep appreciation for the genre, is the fact that he’s one of the most genuine people in music.
From providing free meals to first responders this past Thanksgiving to leaving a $1,000 tip after a Cowboys game last season, you don’t have to look far to find some stories of Post being a great guy to seemingly everyone — and the same can be said about his time with one of country music’s best duos, Muscadine Bloodline.
If you recall, the duo, comprised of Gary Stanton and Charlie Muncaster, got a last-minute call from the rapper-turned-country singer back in the fall of 2024 to open up for him during his first Big A** Stadium Tour. Though they had to cancel multiple shows on their own headline tour, it turned out to be one of the best decisions they made, performing over 30 dates at stadiums around the country in direct support of Post.
In a recent appearance on 90s country legend Tracy Lawrence’s podcast, TL’s Roadhouse the duo would recall the tough decision to cancel their tour, their time on the road with the “I Had Some Help” singer, the major boost they experienced and how blown away they were by Post’s kindness.
Touching on how much of a family Post’s entire crew felt like, Muncaster would note how he took the time to meet he and Charlie’s wives and parents throughout the tour. Calling Post the “sweetest, most thoughtful guy,” he was also blown away by the fact that the 18x Grammy-nominee was able to slow himself down and be present with everyone in the room at any given time.
“Their entire crew, they feel like family to us… They were that accommodating, and it starts from the top. Post is the sweetest, most thoughtful guy. It sounds like I’m just gassing him up. But he met my parents, he met our families, our wives and gave them just the same amount of time as he gave us on the tour. You would think a guy like that that’s so famous, that has so many people pulling him from every angle known to man, [wouldn’t be able to]. He’s able to actually slow down what’s going on in his brain and remember your name. That means a lot. It meant a lot to me and my family, my parents.”
Stanton would also add that Post would frequently be seen showing appreciation to local security guards before shows as well.
“I mean, you see him shaking hands with like local security before the show. He’s just that kind of guy.”
Considering the horror stories you’ve heard from artists of Post’s level of fame, it’s pretty refreshing to hear stories like this from Muscadine, who are some of the most genuine guys in country music today. Again, you can feel however you want about Post’s venture into country music, but you can’t really knock his character.
