Travelling is hard enough these days; the last thing you want to add to it is stress. From TSA security lines that wrap around the building, to delays, cramped seating and crowded airports, a day of travel can be easy breezy or a nightmare. And there is nothing that can make a travel day worse than being confined to the walls of an airplane and hearing someone singing over the intercom. Over the years, we have seen the internet show no mercy to people of all ages who sing on airplanes. Of course, all of these instances are unwarranted, and nine out of ten times, these folks are not going to be the next George Strait. However, that feeling of hating someone for singing on a plane goes out of the window when it’s Zach Top. A woman is going viral online for sharing a video of Zach Top and a few buddies singing “Yesterday’s Wine” while waiting to board their plane. It sounds like everyone on that flight had a nightmare of a travel day, with hours of delays, so ole ZT thought some music was the best way to fill the wait. The woman’s video gained a ton of traction online, not only for the stellar harmonies, but also because she admitted she didn’t realize it was Zach Top singing at first. “Didn’t have a clue before, but now I can’t stop listening to Zach Top.” What I would do to hear his voice for the first time again, am I right? In the footage, you can’t see ZT at all, but the twang in his vocals is recognizable from the first note. After ZT led the charge on the song for a little bit, a few of his buddies jumped in for a harmony that sounds like bluegrass gold. I must admit I’ve watched this video more times than I’m proud of because of that harmony. Hilariously, after the men hit this harmony, you can hear someone shushing them, which, according to the creator of the video, was the flight attendant. I wonder how many airport beers were consumed prior to this moment. As I said before, this is the one time I’d love to hear someone singing on a plane.
