Oil and other products are still lower than when Biden was in office. Trump is working to set the stage for a housing boom. The banks are trying to stop the Clarity Act because it will destroy their operation. The [DS] is trying to keep the Iran war going. The [DS] is feeding the fake news propaganda that the Iranian regime is still in power and that they have a say in what happens next. While banks keep just 10 cents in the vault and pay 0.1% interest. Republicans in Congress, naturally, want to ban it. pic.twitter.com/uXFh7apZK4 — Peter St Onge, Ph.D. (@profstonge) March 25, 2026 Banks’ current model (what’s being threatened) Banks operate on fractional reserve banking  They keep almost nothing in actual reserves (the tweet says “10 cents on the dollar”; replies correctly note the Fed dropped the requirement to 0% in March 2020 and never brought it back). They lend out or invest the vast majority of your deposits, collect high fees + high loan interest, and pay depositors next to nothing (~0.1% on checking/savings). This is how banks make massive profits while giving customers a terrible deal. Stablecoins’ advantage (the “threat”) Stablecoins are 100% backed by cash or short-term U.S. Treasuries. Those Treasuries currently yield ~4%+. Because stablecoins have almost zero operating costs (no branches, no tellers, no massive overhead), the issuers can pass almost all of that 4% interest straight to users as yield/rewards.   You get a zero-fee, fully backed digital dollar account that pays real interest (often 3–4% right now).   Republicans (who normally preach free markets and competition) are working with Wall Street lobbyists to ban or severely restrict interest/yields on stablecoins. This was part of negotiations around the CLARITY Act (a major crypto regulation bill) and a housing bill. The goal: protect banks from losing deposits. Stablecoin issuers have worked around earlier bans by calling the payments “rewards” or “loyalty bonuses,” so Congress is trying to close those loopholes.      Environmental Protection Agency chief Lee Zeldin confirmed the Trump administration wants to intensify efforts to get state and local regulators to drop burdensome, costly zoning laws — including on homes built on assembly lines — to help the next generation afford the American dream of home ownership.   Zeldin said that the landowners know better than the government how best to rebuild, and this will empower private individuals, as well as the private sector.  “Limiting government’s role as much as you can. It shouldn’t be any more than what is necessary,” he also said.  Removing housing barriers President Donald Trump earlier this month signed the “Removing Regulatory Barriers to Affordable Home Construction” executive order. The order states that layers of unnecessary regulatory barriers, slow permitting processes and mandates at all levels of government delay construction and drive up new housing costs.  The order in part directs the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to create a series of regulatory best practices for state and local governments. Such practices are intended to streamline permitting processes for housing development by capping permitting fees and limiting permitting timelines.  The suggested guidelines will also allow third-party inspections by certified entities to ensure swift resolutions when disputes arise between government agencies and builders. The best practices would also curtail mandates for green-energy requirements.    Federal permitting streamlined Trump’s executive order also aims to streamline federal permitting requirements for residential development. It directs the Secretary of the Army, along with the EPA administrator, to review and revise requirements related to stormwater, wetlands, lakes, rivers and other bodies of water.  The streamlining attempts to reduce housing construction and ownership costs, property tax burdens, and make homes more insurable, the order explains.  Political/Rights “We cannot put people in jail anymore. This part of immigration law says that people who are in the U.S. illegally and have certain criminal convictions (or other specific issues) must be detained by ICE while their deportation case is being decided — they can’t just be released into the country pending a hearing.   It gives the Trump administration more power to detain and speed up deportations of people with criminal records or who are otherwise subject to removal. It weakens challenges from sanctuary cities/states or activist lawsuits that tried to limit ICE’s ability to hold people. America took control of Venezuela’s national oil company, PDVSA, after the January 3 raid that resulted in the capture of Nicolás Maduro and his wife. Six — United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Japan — jointly declared their “readiness to contribute to appropriate efforts to ensure safe passage through the Strait” on Thursday; another 16 have signed on since. Source: nypost.com With Iran’s launch of two long-range missiles , putting nearly all of Europe in striking distance, the regime showed that it possesses a capability that President Donald Trump previously cited as a key justification for the U.S. conflict with the Islamic Republic after years of denying it publicly.  Iran fired the intermediate-range ballistic missiles (IRBMs) at the joint U.S.-U.K. airbase on Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, more than 2,000 miles from Tehran, on the same day that the British government gave the United States the green light to use the facility to launch strikes on Iran.  A-10 WARTHOGS AND APACHES ENTER THE FIGHT IN HORMUZ U.S. forces have escalated operations in the Strait of Hormuz.
