The List of Who’s Next in Cabinet Firings
President Donald Trump has expressed frustration and disappointment with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, Politico reported.
No final decisions have been made on Chavez-DeRemer and Lutnick. It could change.
The information came from Politico’s anonymous sources. However, The Washington Post offers the same information, possibly with different anonymou sources.
He is looking to make other changes in the Cabinet.
If President Trump doesn’t see the changes he likes, he changes the leadership. Time is important here. He also doesn’t like to see Cabinet officials receive too much negative attention.
White House Spokesperson Taylor Rogers said both Chavez-DeRemer and Lutnick are “doing a great job standing up for American workers” and continue to have the president’s “full support.”
A third official, speaking on behalf of Lutnick, said they were unaware of any plans to replace him, adding: “Everyone is thrilled with the job Howard has done — on trade deals, pharmaceuticals, Japan, tariffs, all of it.”
Despite this, another official described Lutnick as being on “thin ice.” This isn’t the first time the president has considered removing him.
IBT Reports suggest FBI Director Kash Patel, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer could soon leave amid internal tensions and policy disagreements.
The President’s poll numbers are low.
As for the Attorney General position, Todd Blanche is allegedly in the lead according to multiple reports. Most of his fervent supporters think Blanche, a Democrat, is another agenda killer.
