McDonald’s Slashes Prices and Introduces $3 Meal Deals

McDonald’s hopes to win back customers with a new menu that’s actually affordable. While businesses around the country are quickly inflating their prices, McDonald’s has decided to do the opposite. On April 21st, the new McValue menu will drop at participating locations nationwide. It will include an under $3 section, a $3 lunch and dinner value menu, and a $4 breakfast meal deal. For a limited time, the chain will also slash the price of the Sausage McMuffin to $1.50 and the price of the McDouble to $2.50. Breakfasts under $3 will include the Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, and Sausage Burrito, Hash Browns or a medium McCafé Premium Roast Coffee. And $3 lunches include McChicken, McDouble, 4-Piece Chicken McNuggets, small Fries and a medium Soft Drink. McDonald’s Introduces $3, $4, $5, and $6 Meal Deals The $4 breakfast meal deal includes your choice of a Sausage Biscuit or Sausage McMuffin with a side of hash browns and a small coffee. For lunch, you can also snag a McChicken Meal Deal for $5 or a McDouble Meal Deal for $6, both come with 4-Piece McNuggets, small fries and a small drink. The price drops come after years of customers began complaining about McDonald’s no longer being affordable, with reports of items and combos costing upwards of $15. “We’ve listened to customers and adjusted along the way with a relentless focus on delivering leadership in value and affordability,” McDonald’s President and CEO Chris Kempczinski said, per Today.
