President Trump has given an update on the future of the U.S. military’s presence near Iran. In a late-night Truth Social post on Wednesday night, Trump shared that all U.S. aircraft, ships, weaponry, and military personnel will remain in place near Iran. Trump went on to share that U.S. military assets will remain in the region until an official deal with Iran is made. CNN reported more on Trump’s latest announcement: All US ships, aircraft, weapons, military personnel will remain “in place, in and around, Iran” until a full agreement is reached, US President Donald Trump said in a post to Truth Social late Wednesday. “If for any reason it is not, which is highly unlikely, then the “Shootin’ Starts,” bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before,” Trump wrote. Iran must have “NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS and, the Strait of Hormuz WILL BE OPEN & SAFE,” Trump added. Negotiations between the US and Iran are set to take place in Islamabad, Pakistan on Saturday.
