The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Late Sunday evening, Trump posted an apparently AI-generated photo of himself dressed as Jesus, healing a sick man as doctors and members of the military watch in adoration with a U.S. flag, bald eagles, the Statue of Liberty and fighter jets in the background. (See the full image below.) That came after the president had blasted Pope Leo in a tirade on Truth Social as “weak” for opposing the Iran war. Several major supporters of Trump had objected to the Jesus Christ imagery and called for the president to remove it. “Seriously, I cannot understand why he’d post this. Is he looking for a response? Does he actually think this?” conservative influencer Riley Gaines posted on X Monday morning. “Either way, two things are true. 1) a little humility would serve him well 2) God shall not be mocked.” Joey Jones, co-host of Fox News’ “The Big Weekend Show,” wrote on X, “That picture is looney tunes. I don’t clutch pearls or feign outrage I think all politicians are narcissistic by nature.
