Luke Combs Gifts Children’s Hospital In Indiana With $150,000 Donation Fully Funded By His “Packs For Purpose” Initiative

Luke Combs spun his new hobby into a difference-making charity. It’s pretty impressive that the country music star has figured out how to carve time to help out others while he is out on his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour. Combs recently brought the house down at Notre Dame Stadium this past Saturday, but the night before that, he was on an eBay live stream opening sports trading cards and selling them to fans for charity. It’s called Packs for Purpose, and in case you haven’t heard of it, Luke Combs launched the initiative this year after he got into trading cards a couple of months back. Now, his hobby has turned into an opportunity to connect with his fanbase and the collectibles space through live events and auctions that raise money to be donated to organizations in need. He explains it all in this video: @lukecombs Tour starts this week and I wanted to do something cool in as many cities as possible, so I came up with the idea Packs with Purpose. I’ll be going live with local card shops from my green room, ripping packs and selling the cards in the following days. Proceeds will be going to help kids through a local charity. Things may look a little different in each city, but I’ll keep y’all posted as the whole thing continues to grow and evolve. We’re kicking things off in Las Vegas today, March 19 at 8 PM ET with @ParadiseCardBreaks . A not-for-profit called A Rosie Place for Children – the state’s only licensed, speciality hospital – was the recipient of the proceeds raised from the sports trading cards eBay stream that the country singer organized. A Rosie Place for Children recently took to social media to thank the “Hurricane” singer for donating over $150,000 to them. They say it’ll help pay for more than 200 sleepovers for children and families: “We were able to personally thank Luke Combs and Luke Combs HQ for choosing A Rosie Place for Children as the recipient of the dollars raised during the Packs with Purpose event. On Saturday, he shared with our CEO & Founder, Tieal Bishop, ‘We were so glad to be able to help the children, it’s amazing what you all do there.’ We don’t have the final total yet, but we know it’s over $150,000! $150,000 raised to create a world of YES for medically fragile children and their families. That’s more than 200 sleepovers provided for children at no cost to families! We are in awe and overcome with gratitude.” What a cool way for Luke Combs to give back to those in need. That’s one of many Packs for Purpose events that the country music star hopes to put together as the year rolls on. The idea is to do these live, sports card breaks all across the country by partnering with local card shops. All proceeds from the Packs For Purpose live streams then get donated to a local organizations. It’s a win-win for everybody, really. Luke Combs gets to be around trading cards, and great charities all across the country get money to help support their initiative and efforts.
