Looks Like He Made It – Barry Manilow is All Smiles in New York City
Fanilows, we have good news for you. Barry Manilow is on the mend and ready to take a chance again. People shared recent photos of the beloved singer-songwriter in New York City on April 24, 2026, looking well. He hadn’t been his best in the fall of 2025 with a nagging cough and bronchitis, so a doctor decided to take a better look. Sadly, Barry announced in December 2025 that doctors diagnosed him with lung cancer. He underwent surgery a short time later and hoped to get back to performing his final farewell tour concert days. Unfortunately, his healing took a bit longer than he anticipated.

Barry Manilow Wants Fans to Know He Feels Their Good Vibes
The Mandy singer shared a statement on Instagram in February that, although he wanted to hit the stage, his doctors said he wasn’t quite ready.
In a March interview with People, Barry Manilow admitted the cancer diagnosis came as a shock.
“You just don’t even think about [how fragile life is],” he said. And suddenly, you have lung cancer,” Barry said. “But I’m still here. I’m not all here; there’s part of me that isn’t here — they took out a part of me, and now I’ve got to figure out, ‘What do I do?’”
In his most recent Instagram post, Barry Manilow shared a bit about his early days and why he took every job he could get. If he hadn’t, we might not know that, like a good neighbor, State Farm is there. He was in New York City for induction into the American Advertising Federation Hall of Fame. It’s an honor he so rightly deserves.
“I am stuck on you forever, Barry. Congratulations on your well deserved award. Sending huge hugs,” a fan wrote.
“I love you Barry, you’re simply the best and so deserving of this award,” another fan shared.
We love seeing Barry Manilow well and hope this is just the start of a fabulous spring.
