Biden Admin CALLED Out After Toddler Loses Teeth in Park Attack
The Department of Homeland Security condemned the Biden administration after an illegal alien from India allegedly attacked a three-year-old Texas girl at a San Antonio park, causing her to lose two teeth and suffer facial bite marks. DHS says the suspect had been arrested for felony assault months earlier, but the previous administration took no enforcement action.Suspect Previously Arrested, Released by Biden AdministrationAtharva Vyas, a 24-year-old illegal immigrant, entered the United States in August 2023 on a student visa. Three months later, University of Texas police arrested him for felony assault and contacted Immigration and Customs Enforcement. According to DHS, the Biden administration determined the prior crime was not serious enough to warrant visa revocation and released him without any immigration enforcement action. The Trump administration later revoked his F-1 student visa in April 2025 because of the assault arrest.
Mother Describes Horror at Espada ParkGabriella Perez, 27, told San Antonio television station KSAT that she and her family were fishing at Espada Park on April 18 when Vyas emerged from the woods and began punching her and grabbing her hair. The assault caused her to drop her daughter. Perez said Vyas tried poking her eyes with his thumb and then began biting her daughter’s face. She compared the attack to a scene from a zombie movie. A bystander who witnessed the assault restrained Vyas until police arrived just before 3 p.m. at the park located in the 1700 block of Southeast Military Drive.Federal Immigration Authorities Take ActionSan Antonio police arrested Vyas and charged him with injury to a child with intent to cause bodily injury, assault causing bodily injury, and illegal entry from a foreign nation. ICE lodged a detainer on April 18, requesting that San Antonio officials transfer Vyas to federal immigration authorities after he completes the criminal justice process. Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the case, stating the previous administration should never have released Vyas following his initial assault arrest.Broader Immigration Policy ImplicationsThe incident highlights ongoing tensions between federal immigration authorities and local jurisdictions over cooperation policies. Dallas recently revised its police immigration policy after state officials warned the city could lose approximately 32.1 million dollars in public safety grants. The updated Dallas policy allows officers to inquire about immigration status after lawful detention or arrest and share information with ICE. The case also raises questions about foreign student visa programs, with Texas A&M University alone generating over 106 million dollars in tuition from international students during the 2024-2025 academic year, including substantial populations from India.SourcesYahoo: ‘Zombie Movie’ Attack: DHS Blasts Biden After Illegal Alien Accused Of Biting Toddler’s Face
