According to PEOPLE, Brendan Fraser confirmed during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that a new sequel is officially in development, and it will reunite key members of the original cast. The actor shared that the team plans to “get the band back together,” adding that the filmmakers want to give longtime fans exactly what they have been hoping for over the past two decades. The upcoming sequel will reportedly revisit some of the franchise’s original filming locations, which already has audiences feeling nostalgic about the beloved adventure series.
