Post Malone Canceled The First Month Of His Stadium Tour – But Here’s Where You Can Still See Him In Concert Before The Tour Officially Kicks Off
Still have a few chances to catch Posty.
Of course by now everybody’s probably heard that Post Malone made the decision to postpone the start of his Big Ass Stadium Tour, which was originally set to kick off tonight at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas.
In a statement posted to his Instagram earlier this month, Posty (whose real name is Austin Post) said that he would be pushing back the start of the tour to focus on finishing up his upcoming double album:
“Looking at the upcoming schedule after stagecoach, I came to the realization that what we were trying to do, and what’s possible, isn’t really lining up.
Truth is, I promised y’all beautiful people new music, and I don’t have the time to finish it before tour starts. We ain’t ready for tour just yet, so I’m making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done.
That being said, I’m so sorry to the folks who were planning on coming to the few canceled shows. I was looking forward to going nuts with y’all.
That THAT being said, we been making some badass shit for this double album… and I can’t wait to perform for y’all again.”
Along with El Paso, the cancellations also include scheduled shows at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas; Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama; Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida; and Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi.
Post Malone last took the stage at Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California late last month, and over the past month or so he’s been teasing his upcoming album, The Eternal Buzz, including a post last month revealing that the album would feature a whopping 40 songs.

There have also been signs that Post will be continuing on with his country career on (at least half of) the double album, so naturally fans are excited to see if he’ll be breaking out any new music when he gets back on stage.
Well despite the fact that Posty won’t officially be kicking off his tour until June 9 at Bank of America in Charlotte, North Carolina, fans will still have a couple of opportunities to catch him in concert before then – and maybe get the first listen to some of the new music.
Post will return to the stage this weekend at Boots in the Park Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before heading to Panama City Beach to headline Gulf Coast Jam on Sunday, May 31 along with Riley Green, Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban, and many more.
The following weekend, Posty will be headlining Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Sunday, June 7. Posty will be joining Riley Green, Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan as headliners.
The tour will then kick off the following week, before Posty will once again serve as festival headliner at Barefoot Country Music Festival in Wildwood, New Jersey on Saturday, June 20 along with Eric Church, Kelsea Ballerini and Miranda Lambert.
If you were hoping to see Posty at one of the cancelled dates, the good news is that you’ve got a couple of opportunities to catch him at some great festivals before the tour officially kicks off. And who knows, maybe you’ll be among the first to get a taste of the new music he’s been working on.
