She’s Texas through and through, and she will be the perfect judge. Kacey Musgraves will once again appear on the hit Netflix show America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders in Season 3, which is set to air on the streaming platform on June 16th. If you’ve watched anything on Netflix or have been on social media at all recently, you’ve probably seen ads for, or watched, America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. The show takes viewers from the first audition all the way through the end of NFL football season for the Cowboys, giving fans an inside at how the DCC organization runs. I loved the original iteration on CMT Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team, though it’s fun to watch the entire process in this new show as opposed to just seeing the ruthless audition process. They’ve definitely tampered down some of the wild commentary, but cheerleader director Kelli Finglass and Head Choreographer Judy Trammell are tough critics, and those girls who do ultimately make the team certainly earn it. It’s incredible how demanding their job is, and most of them also juggle other full-time jobs to make ends meet, though I think the pay and things of that nature has gotten a lot better since the show has become much more popular. Netflix just released the trailer, and this installment follows the 2025–26 DCC squad, starting with the  high-pressure auditions, where 30 veterans will fight it out for just six open spots, and the season will take viewers from that point, all the way through game-day performances during the NFL season. Kacey did appear on the show during Season 2, where she was a guest judge during the final auditions, and in Season 3, she will be a judge for the first round of dance auditions. They show a quick glimpse of her talking to the girls with her hair perfectly 70’s and in full Cowboys gear in this new trailer, and considering Kacey is from Texas and loves her home state and the Dallas Cowboys, I can’t wait to watch her be an official judge this season. They usually have at least one or two celebrity judges help with the audition process, and I don’t think there’s anyone more perfect for it than Kacey. And while we’re on the subject, considering how many country artists have done the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving halftime show over the last few years, we need to get her out on that field ASAP, but I digress… In Season 2, some of the DCC girls performed at a stop on Kacey’s Deeper Well tour, so she’s pretty well acquainted with the team, and they also used her new song “Everybody Wants To Be A  Cowboy” as the theme sing, which was a collab with Billy Strings that was featured on her recent Middle Of Nowhere album. It’s easily one of my favorite series on Netflix, and having Kacey be part of it just makes it that much more fun to watch… I am counting down the days.
