Morgan Wallen Jokes That His Piano Isn’t Working Again During Controversial Pittsburgh Show

No more piano casualties in Pittsburgh… just phones flying this time. Morgan Wallen’s show in Pittsburgh this past weekend has made tons of headlines, notably because the second night in the Steel City didn’t even happen after what you could call a premature cancelation due to some bad weather in the area. Morgan Wallen and his team called off the concert very early in the day because of forecasted bad weather. Here was the official announcement from Wallen After unfounded rumors started swirling that Wallen had canceled the concert for other reasons (like being hungover) and just used the inclement weather as an excuse, the country singer put out a video clearing the air and responding to his fans that were outraged. But the towns mayor has since revealed that none of the supposed “local officials,” nor any stadium officials, Morgan’s team consulted with knew anything about his decision to cancel until everyone else did, and he said no one spoke with any of them before that decision was made. Who really knows… But the show that did happen also created some controversy, after Morgan chucked the phone belonging to a across the stage. I could go on and on about phone etiquette at concerts, and I’m not exactly sure why a security guard was holding someone’s phone for them, but Morgan Wallen wasn’t having it when he saw the phone being held up close to the stage by someone who was supposed to be keeping security. He has yet to make any sort of statement about that, though the husband of the fan the phone belonged to has spoken out, but before all of this controversy with both the phone throwing and the cancellation, just over a week ago during his show in Denver, Morgan flipped his piano over due to some technical difficulties: @evalyntt I wish I was the piano #morganwallen #wallen ♬ original sound – Eva Toshkova He surely saw many of the outrageous headlines claiming he did that in some fit of rage, though it was much more light-hearted than that, and he shared the following video seemingly in response to all of that: @morganwallenCan’t you tell I’m so distraught over my piano♬ original sound – morganwallen He’s joked about the whole piano thing quite a bit, and ahead of his “Sand In My Boots” performance in Pittsburgh, where he plays said piano, he joked with the crowd that it wasn’t working and laughed before he actually started playing the song, with happened without any issues: @gabbyyyy1913 I love his little quirky moments #morganwallen #morganwallentiktok #morganwallenconcert #morganwallenfan #morganwallenmusic ♬ original sound – gabby Here’s to hoping nothing gets flipped or goes flying when Morgan heads to Chicago next weekend to play Soldier Field. He still has 10 shows left on this tour, which will conclude in August in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Lincoln Financial Field. Considering he’s addressed pretty much all of these headline-grabbing moments, aside from the phone-throwing thing that just happened, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has something to say about all of it when he hits the stage next. I’m actually really interested to hear his side of that story, so hopefully we’ll get to hear his take at some point… stay tuned. ‘Still The Problem’ Tour Dates June 19 || Chicago, Ill. || Soldier Field w/ Brooks & Dunn, Gavin Adcock, Zach John King June 20 || Chicago, Ill. || Soldier Field w/ Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, Zach John King June 26 || Clemson, SC. || Clemson Memorial Stadium w/ Brooks & Dunn, Gavin Adcock, Jason Scott & The High Heat June 27 || Clemson, SC. || Clemson Memorial Stadium w/ Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, Jason Scott & The High nHeat July 17 || Baltimore, Md. || M&T Bank Stadium w/ Brooks & Dunn, Gavin Adcock, Jason Scott & The High Heat July 18 || Baltimore, Md. || M&T Bank Stadium w/ Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, Jason Scott & The High Heat July 24 || Ann Arbor, Mich. || Michigan Stadium w/ Thomas Rhett, Hudson Westbrook, Blake Whiten July 25 || Ann Arbor, Mich. || Michigan Stadium w/ HARDY, Hudson Westbrook, Blake Whiten July 31 || Philadelphia, Penn. || Lincoln Financial Field w/ Brooks & Dunn, Hudson Westbrook, Blake Whiten August 1 || Philadelphia, Penn. || Lincoln Financial Field w/ Ella Langley, Hudson Westbrook, Blake Whiten “Sand In My Boots” The post Morgan Wallen Jokes That His Piano Isn’t Working Again During Controversial Pittsburgh Show first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
