Soboroff Kicks Off New Show By Hyping 'Joy' Of Anti-Trump Protests

MS NOW reporter/far-left immigration activist Jacob Soboroff debuted his new show on Saturday that he is calling Connect. In a segment where he explained the meaning behind the name, Soboroff recounted several stories he has done throughout his career that “connect” with him with people, including several that touched on immigration and the “joy” that “we’ve experienced together” of protesting President Trump. Soboroff’s dive into immigration began with Trump 1.0, but before that, he made sure to get in some climate change activism as well, “Or how about when I travel to Greenland to see with my own eyes how the changing climate there affects all of us here? I felt the connection as I watched the Trump administration deliberately and systematically separate thousands of immigrant parents from their children and what the American Academy of Pediatrics called ‘government-sanctioned child abuse.’”   MS NOW gave reporter/liberal immigration activist Jacob Soboroff his own show called "Connect," so he tried wax poetic on the first episode, "I felt the connection as I watched the Trump administration deliberately and systematically separate thousands of immigrant parents from… pic.twitter.com/AXGQieQgw0 — Alex Christy (@alexchristy17) June 13, 2026   It wasn’t just Trump Soboroff was angry at. He then went after former President Biden from the left, “And as COVID ravaged the country, I felt it when I went to the streets as people across this nation protested systemic racism in policing and the murder of George Floyd. We connected as I traveled to Haiti to meet people deported to danger and potential death by the Biden administration that had promised a new approach to immigration in the wake of the Trump administration's cruelty.” After highlighting some unobjectionable stories from his career, including his personal connection with the LA wildfires, Soboroff turned to Trump 2.0, “A lot of joy has informed what we've experienced together this year. Americans standing up and pushing back and demanding accountability from our government. From downtown Los Angeles to the halls of 26 Federal Plaza here in New York City, to a Charlotte church and to the streets of Minneapolis.”   Later, Soboroff returned to immigration, "A lot of joy as informed what we've experienced together this year. A reporter, yes, but a dad, and a husband, and a son, and a friend. I have loved the opportunity over so many years to connect with so many of you. And now we have this place in this time to do it. I am grateful for this opportunity and for every person on this team dedicated to making it happen. So here we go. On this show, let's keep doing what we have been doing together for the past 11 years. Let’s connect.” Soboroff is replacing Ali Velshi, who is replacing Stephanie Ruhle as host of The 11th Hour, who is replacing Ana Cabrera and the fourth hour of Morning Joe, but while the faces in front of the camera change at MS NOW, the substance of the discussion does not.
