Bunnie Xo Says She’ll Never Be In Another Relationship Following Divorce From Jelly Roll: “I’ve Had A Few Rappers In My DMs”
Bunnie Xo is giving advice and getting selective when it comes to people sliding into her DMs following her divorce from Jelly Roll.
In a shocking revelation earlier this month, Jelly Roll filed for divorce from his wife Bunnie Xo after a decade of marriage. The petition for divorce was filed by the rapper-turned-country-artist, whose real name is Jason DeFord, against his wife, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, back on May 18. It’s being reported that it was a “mutual decision” and a “private family matter.”
Whiskey Riff obtained a copy of the divorce complaint that was filed by the “Save Me” singer, which reveals that the couple separated on May 9, a week and a half before the request for a divorce was filed. He cites “irreconcilable differences” as the grounds for the divorce, which in Tennessee is a no-fault grounds for divorce that means that the parties agree on the terms of the separation.
The couple were married back in 2016 before renewing their vows in 2023, and have been incredibly transparent about their relationship, including their struggles along the way. They were in the middle of trying to have a baby together through IVF, and they’ve seen clarified that they will still be trying to do so… despite splitting up.
And both Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have evidently gotten back into being single rather quickly. Some reports are suggesting that the “Need A Favor” singer is already dating after the divorce, and Bunnie Xo revealed in the latest episode of the Dumb Blonde Podcast that her direct messages on social media are piling up:
“My DMs have been wild. Shout out to all of the women. I told so many girls to go in Jelly’s, which, have at it. Good luck with that. But all of these women are in my DMs.”
The world didn’t take long to get back to shooting their shot with Bunnie Xo (let’s be honest, a lot of people probably never stopped while she was married), and the podcast host says that she’s got some high profile individuals trying to get her attention:
“I’ve got the blue check marks coming in. I’ve had a few rappers that are literally in my DMs like, ‘Yo.’ You’ve got to give me something more. I’m never going to respond to a ‘Yo.’ If you send me a f***ing yo, just go f*** yourself.”
There was another condition that Bunnie Xo provided for those that are sliding into her DMs. Other than getting more creative than “Yo,” Bunnie suggested that one of the worst things people can do is mention her ex-husband, Jelly Roll:
“If you come in my DM, please don’t talk about my ex. I’m trying to get away from him. Please. I don’t want to hear it.”
Understandable.
And for those that are sending Bunnie Xo messages asking for relationship advice, she’s got some news for them too. The days of the Dumb Blonde Podcast host dishing out relational tips are over. She said she’s done trying to help others in that space, and even boldly said that she’ll never be in another relationship again:
“If you guys are writing in about relationship questions, don’t f***ing ask me. I am not giving anybody relationship advice ever again. Your girl will never be in another relationship and also will never give relationship advice because I just don’t feel like (I should).”
After two marriages that have ended in divorce, Bunnie Xo is calling it quits. You can hear her talk all about that and more in the latest “Ask, Tell, Confess” segment of the Dumb Blonde Podcast:
