Charley Crockett To Officially Release “Clovis” This Weekend
It’s FINALLY coming soon.
There’s no doubt that Charley Crockett has remained one of the busiest artists working in the genre today. Since 2024, the “$10 Cowboy” has dropped a staggering five albums. Of course, this includes the double-up in 2024 in $10 Cowboy and Visions of Dallas, as well as the now-completed “Sagebrush Trilogy,” which is comprised of Lonesome Drifter, Dollar A Day and his latest release, Age of the Ram.
However, he had all intentions of releasing a sixth album in two years, Clovis, which appeared just three weeks after Age of the Ram on April 28th. As one of the best releases to date from Crockett, fans everywhere were touting it as the Album of the Year. Despite all the hype surrounding it, it would disappear from streaming services a little over a week later, which means the 14-track album was only available to fans for around a week. As of today, it has yet to reappear.
Since disappearing, we’ve received quite a few updates on the album. Shooter Jennings, son of Waylon Jennings and Crockett’s long-time producer, would take to X to confirm that Clovis was officially coming back. Before performing a standout from the album, “Hallelujah Trail,” at Music City Rodeo in Nashville back in May, the “Welcome to Hard Times” singer would tell the crowd that Clovis is coming soon, saying it’ll be back on the street in “two shakes of a lamb’s tail.”
“I’m sorry about that record I put out a little ways back that got pulled down. I promise y’all I’m gonna get it back on the street in two shakes of a lamb’s tail.”
After a nearly three-month battle, Crockett would take to Instagram this morning to announce that Clovis is officially returning on all platforms this weekend:
“Happy 4th of July week y’all. Sometimes to be free you need to fight. Goliath vs Goliath. On this 250th birthday for America, I’m reminded that freedom is something you continue to fight for. A war that never ends. Today, we win one battle. Clovis is out 4th of July weekend on Atlantic Outpost. Let’s ride.”

As previously mentioned, the story of Clovis‘ long, drawn-out battle has been fascinating to watch. After it was removed from streaming back in April, Crockett gave fans an update on the record back in June during the first day of CMA Fest in Nashville. Here, he’d point to potential legal trouble that may have been preventing its release. Additionally, his team would be patrolling the streets of Music City and handing out CDs for free during the festival. He’d sign off by saying that he’s going back to his roots with the whole “boots-on-the-ground” approach to delivering Clovis to the masses.
“I got a loyal street team around this week in Nashville. I’d be there but I’m in some legal trouble I won’t bore you with. They’ll be handing out CDs for free. You know, the way I got here.”

I can’t say I’ve seen an album have this many issues releasing to the masses in recent memory; however, it looks like the long battle is finally over. Clovis will be out on all streaming services on Friday, July 3rd.
Before you go, fire up “Hallelujah Trail,” which is actually still on YouTube via a recording from ABC Country in Australia.
