Garth Brooks Officially Announces 2026 “Blame It All On My Roots” Arena Tour

One of the biggest superstars in country music history is heading back on the road… Garth Brooks is BACK. Though it’s an exciting update, it’s one that we’ve been expecting ever since the “Friends in Low Places” singer teased a new tour all the way back in January. The story that was shared through his personal website – the only place where the country star shares news from now – first shed a light on Garth going out on tour with a story titled “New Year, New Music, New Tour. It’s All On The Table In 2026!” It opened with the cheesy line of “Some artists make resolutions. Garth Brooks makes moves.” If you can comb through the cheesiness of it all, it basically confirmed that Brooks is both releasing some new music and going on tour in 2026. The story also came with this quote: “I’m an artist, I HAVE to make music. And I’m an entertainer, so I HAVE to take the music to the people…My bride is touring through the first half of the year. Then we will see what may be waiting for us in the second half.” And here we are in the second half of the year… and it’s official. Garth Brooks is hitting the road on what he’s calling his “Blame It All On My Roots” Arena Tour. The 64-year-old country star last brought his music to the masses with his Stadium Tour, which played its final show in the fall of 2022. Garth’s Las Vegas residency – Garth Brooks/Plus ONE – followed after that, but even that wrapped in July of 2024. All that to say, it certainly seems like the perfect time for the aging superstar to return to touring. And he didn’t even wait for the mysterious countdown clock on his website to strike zero before he started putting out the word about the “Blame It All On My Roots” Arena Tour. Very early in the morning on July 7, Brooks shared this video of his dusty drum pod… and let’s just say it’s a tour teaser that only Garth could whip up: “Oh yeah… how long’s it been, ol’ girl?” pic.twitter.com/qwZm33JH9p — Garth Brooks (@garthbrooks) July 7, 2026 Classic Garth. You can tell he’s excited for this tour… and to break out his iconic drum pod. Brooks says that’s just one of many ways that he and his team are bringing back the “retro arena era.” That was officially confirmed a couple of hours later both on his website and Garth’s official social media accounts. The country superstar told everyone that the “wait is over,” and happily announced that his Blame It All On My Roots Tour will get kicked off in August: “Going back into the arenas is about putting the stadium show in a box. The excitement gets multiplied by the intimacy. Every seat is a great seat. This is personal.” The wait is over… Garth Brooks is kicking off the Blame It All On My Roots Tour! The first stop is Indianapolis, Indiana! Tickets go on sale Friday, July 17, at 10:00 AM EDT at https://t.co/QFQKNte63Q -Team Garth pic.twitter.com/x6TmASteEU — Garth Brooks (@garthbrooks) July 7, 2026 Brooks also revealed that the “new music” that he teased will be in the form of a live album titled Killer Live, which will be recorded during throughout the Blame It All On My Roots tour dates. Yes, Killer Live is the title… really teeing one up from Tom Segura, eh G? And speaking of tour dates… the only ones that Garth Brooks has revealed are the first two nights – August 21 and 22 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tickets for those back-to-back shows go on sale Friday, July 17. And I’m sure we’ll hear more about other stops Garth’s tour will make throughout the country by then. The post Garth Brooks Officially Announces 2026 “Blame It All On My Roots” Arena Tour first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
