RaeLynn Announces She Has Filed For Divorce From Her Husband, Josh Davis
Is there something in the water in Nashville right now?
Country singer RaeLynn announced this morning that she has filed for divorce from her husband, Josh Davis.
The former contestant on The Voice, whose real name is Racheal Lynn Davis, made the announcement in a statement posted to her social media:
“After much thought and prayer, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. This has not been an easy decision. As a working mom, I am committed to giving my daughter the love, stability, and support she will need while we navigate this next chapter together. I am grateful for the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and fans, and I respectfully ask for privacy as we move forward with grace and compassion.”

The couple have been married since July 2015, and have one daughter, Daisy Rae, who was born in 2021.
Davidson County Circuit Court records show that RaeLynn actually filed for divorce back on June 8, which is also listed as the date of separation. In the complaint, which was obtained by Whiskey Riff, the “God Made Girls” singer cites irreconcilable differences, and states that the parties intend to enter into a Marital Dissolution Agreement and Parenting Plan, which basically means she expects they’ll be able to come to an agreement on custody and division of property. She also asks to be named the primary residential parent of their daughter.
To handle the case, RaeLynn turned to high-profile “divorce attorney to the stars” Rose Palermo, who’s busy right now handling divorces between at least two other country stars.
Jelly Roll filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie Xo, back in May, also citing irreconcilable differences – and also hiring Palermo to handle the case.
Of course many people speculated that one party cheated on the other, and some were even convinced that Bunnie was in a relationship with Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger, a rumor she quickly shot down on a since-deleted episode of her Dumb Blonde Podcast.
As Bunnie explained, while the decision to split wasn’t necessarily mutual, it’s been as amicable as anyone can hope for during a difficult thing like a divorce – so amicable that they’re still planning on having a baby together.
Meanwhile, just weeks after the news of Jelly and Bunnie’s divorce broke, Jon Pardi announced that he and his wife, Summer Pardi, were also getting a divorce. (Summer apparently beat him to Palermo’s services, because she’s representing the wife in this divorce).
In their announcement, the couple said their main focus would be on their two daughters:
“After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. Our daughters will always remain our highest priority and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents.
Thank you for your understanding, support, and respect as we navigate these changes as a family.”
The divorce complaint was filed by Summer back on May 12, 2026, and lists the date of separation as May 11, the day before she officially filed.
In the complaint, Summer cites irreconcilable differences as the grounds for divorce, which is basically a no-fault grounds in Tennessee that allows the court to grant a divorce without assigning blame when both parties agree to the separation. And she also requests that the court grant her primary custody of their two children:
“Wife would show that she is a fit and proper person to be designated as the primary residential parent of the parties’ minor children. The best interests and welfare of the minor children will be served by designating the Wife as the primary residential parent.”
And she also requests that the court order her husband to pay spousal support – more commonly known as alimony:
“Wife would show that she is in need of spousal support, including but not limited to pendente lite and permanent, and Husband has the ability to pay.”
Not sure what’s going on in Nashville right now, but it’s a good time to be in a divorce attorney apparently. The post RaeLynn Announces She Has Filed For Divorce From Her Husband, Josh Davis first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
